Title: Time Lapse Camera Post by: nopanic - neil on February 07, 2008, 10:12:39 am Help.
Saw on the web a while ago (but can't find it now), how you can turn a digital camera into a time lapse camera. So it can take pics at set times, keeps taking pics until the memory card is full. Someone has told me some of the new PHD cameras have this feature built in. Does anybody know, how to do it, or a web site I can find details the circuit needed to build to do it? Thanks Title: Re: Time Lapse Camera Post by: Steve Pyro on February 07, 2008, 10:59:39 am Neil, you would need some kind of timer / controller to connect to the camera.
Knowing you've got a D200, you could get one of these - http://www.europe-nikon.com/product/en_GB/products/broad/804/overview.html (http://www.europe-nikon.com/product/en_GB/products/broad/804/overview.html) Here's a link to the users manual ftp://ftp.nikon-euro.com/Manuals/d9NJGfHxnr/MC-36_03.pdf (http://ftp://ftp.nikon-euro.com/Manuals/d9NJGfHxnr/MC-36_03.pdf) http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nikon-MC-36-Camera-control/dp/B000C29JEO (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nikon-MC-36-Camera-control/dp/B000C29JEO) (http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/319F2CEKDHL._AA250_.jpg) Title: Re: Time Lapse Camera Post by: nopanic - neil on February 07, 2008, 11:29:31 am Thanks Steve, I'll look in to that for my D200.
I was looking for it for a simple PHD camera, (http://www.digitalriver.com/v2.0-img/operations/canonuk/image/P/o/w/PowerShot-A550-200_tcm14-418635.JPG) This type of camera, then you can leave it almost anywhere (e.g car dashboard)and people will not notice it and you can leave it to run and run. |
