Title: ACO bookings - what did you get Post by: redstu on February 01, 2008, 01:14:00 pm I had asked for MB but got my second choice of BN (2 passes), with no third option - so I'm happy enough.
So what did you get? Title: Re: ACO bookings - what did you get Post by: Paddy_NL on February 01, 2008, 01:37:02 pm Did not have a second choice as MB is... oh well, you know the story ;)
Title: Re: ACO bookings - what did you get Post by: smokie on February 01, 2008, 01:42:49 pm I asked for 3 x MB in the "Termie" applcations.
But I got 10 x BN on the strength of my "special status" - which I didn't apply for - but nothing heard yet re the "Termie" application. Title: Re: ACO bookings - what did you get Post by: Bas on February 01, 2008, 04:19:59 pm In the Termie application we asked for 2x4 MB, 2nd choice Houx, 3rd HA
We got bumped to BSJ >:( Title: Re: ACO bookings - what did you get Post by: Chris24 on February 01, 2008, 11:00:31 pm Some of us haven't had anything back from the ACO yet. Good job we have other plans sorted already
Title: Re: ACO bookings - what did you get Post by: Piglet on February 01, 2008, 11:02:46 pm We were part of the bulk application....
Asked for 10 x 1st choice MB, 2nd choice BN, I think the third choice was KN Got offered BSJ :( Title: Re: ACO bookings - what did you get Post by: John Boy on February 02, 2008, 10:25:13 am We asked for 2xMB (2nd choice Houx, 3rd Terte Rouge), and got BN. fax sent on 6th June.
Still going though ;D Title: Re: ACO bookings - what did you get Post by: W21SBY on February 02, 2008, 12:44:28 pm I asked for MB, MUSEE or HA and got BLEU NORD.
I have decided to go to the classic instead 8) Title: Re: ACO bookings - what did you get Post by: redstu on February 04, 2008, 08:46:35 pm Got the CC receipt back from ACO today - very efficient. Just hope our places aren't too near to the dirt track entrance.
Title: Re: ACO bookings - what did you get Post by: smokie on February 05, 2008, 01:02:54 am ... too near to the dirt track entrance. I have it on good authority that some people pay good money for that... ;D Title: Re: ACO bookings - what did you get Post by: Lawnmower Man on February 05, 2008, 07:58:16 am Hi,
Got back from Hols and found the offer on my mat. BN not MB as asked for. But the rest is as requested 4 x ACO 18 and 2 x Lagache 19. Since I had no idea how long it had been sitting there I posted it straight back with verifying who will be going with my group this year. So I may well be trying to off load tickets in a few days time. T. Title: Re: ACO bookings - what did you get Post by: fagey on February 05, 2008, 09:06:51 am hi guys.. been off for a while.. but back now!

Title: Re: ACO bookings - what did you get Post by: Gaity on February 06, 2008, 07:05:37 pm Does that mean if I haven't heard by now, I'm not getting anything?
Title: Re: ACO bookings - what did you get Post by: JDS on February 07, 2008, 10:17:20 pm Finally got my allocation from the ACO in the post this morning. As expected, bumped all the way to BSJ so that letter went straight through the shredder. All I can say is thank F*** I thought to pre-book some tickets after the race last year with Just Tickets - at least we have some KN tickets ...
Title: Re: ACO bookings - what did you get Post by: Rusty on February 07, 2008, 11:00:16 pm Not only did I shred my allocation, I took it out and shredded the f**k*r again just to make sure.
I've decided that I will also do an impromptu firework display to congratulate those french fucks on their utter utter incompetence in the rotunda. Thats should liven those surrender monkeys up a touch ;D Hooray Title: Re: ACO bookings - what did you get Post by: Lord Pig-Pen on February 07, 2008, 11:08:24 pm Not only did I shred my allocation, I took it out and shredded the f**k*r again just to make sure. Marvelous!I've decided that I will also do an impromptu firework display to congratulate those french fucks on their utter utter incompetence in the rotunda. Thats should liven those surrender monkeys up a touch ;D Hooray I promise I wont get fired from this one!! ;D Title: Re: ACO bookings - what did you get Post by: JDS on February 08, 2008, 11:06:17 am ;D ;D ;D
Title: Re: ACO bookings - what did you get Post by: Leftie on February 11, 2008, 06:01:36 pm Finally got letter saying we've been allocated BSJ.
Hoping to swap for Expo at the Rotunda before putting a peg in the ground. Why do the 'frenchies' seam to have a problem with organisation? They can't even organise an orgy in a brothel! As this disorganisation happen every year. Agreed that due to constructions is a bit different but if I find 'independants' in my regular spot I will be 'king LIVID. At least there will be a load of CA'ers on BSJ to chat with. Is anyone logging where on BSJ they will be camping? Is it marked out pitches etc? If this happens next year they can stuff it. I'll only go to the classic and will be hotelling it. Most of us appear to be on HA. 2. No classic in 2009. Title: Re: ACO bookings - what did you get Post by: Fran on February 11, 2008, 09:31:10 pm Not entirely a surprise I suppose:
First Choice: Bleu Nord Allocation: Beausejour! Good job I have friends in flat places! ;D F Title: Re: ACO bookings - what did you get Post by: redstu on February 20, 2008, 11:03:31 pm Well from the results so far , it seems that there is only a 1in 3 chance of getting any of your requested sites and not even a 1 in 10 of getting your first! Damn ticket agencies.
Title: Re: ACO bookings - what did you get Post by: Robspot on February 20, 2008, 11:43:19 pm Alright Stu, how goes things?
I believe you are right my friend. The idea of buying direct from the ACO to guarantee allocation seems to be slipping fast. Early order with the agencies is the seemingly only way forward. At the moment SOME of them don't take the piss with prices. God knows how long that will last. Title: Re: ACO bookings - what did you get Post by: JDS on February 21, 2008, 11:13:35 am I fear this would be the last year without most of us resoting to ticket agencies. Now they KNOW that they are holding all the aces as far as decent site allocation goes they can set the rules. Don't be suprised to see requirements for purchase of multiple GE tickets (in sterling, not euros) before they will sell you a layby ticket etc. creeping in, even if the prices don't get inflated too much :(
