The reason being, if I am lucky and get one of my photos included then I will order an extra one to keep in pristine condition for sentiment. Title: Re: Calendar Orders/Payment Post by: LangTall on October 04, 2007, 11:10:16 am Other question; I have no problem with bankpayments to the UK, but then I need some more info regarding the account (SWIFT / IBAN codes). Cheques will be a problem, and I also don't like paying to much to paypal. ;)
Title: Re: Calendar Orders/Payment Post by: DelBoy on October 04, 2007, 11:27:07 am Will we get a preview of the winning entries before we commit to order quantity and payment? Chris There really isn't time - I need to start getting the money in now, and the final layout will not be finalised for 10 days or so. Please remember, we don't have the financial resources to produce these speculatively, and will only print to paid orders. However, we will print a few extra copies to cater for late/extra orders. Hope this helps Del Title: Re: Calendar Orders/Payment Post by: DelBoy on October 04, 2007, 11:27:47 am Other question; I have no problem with bankpayments to the UK, but then I need some more info regarding the account (SWIFT / IBAN codes). So on the one hand I'm sorry, and on the other, I'm paying...
11 GPB, plus 0.75, x 1.038 is... uh,... 12.20 GBP. Title: Re: Calendar Orders/Payment Post by: DelBoy on October 04, 2007, 05:19:03 pm I understand your disliking of the paypal system, but it's the fastest and best way for me to get any money to you from Canada. So on the one hand I'm sorry, and on the other, I'm paying... 11 GPB, plus 0.75, x 1.038 is... uh,... 12.20 GBP. Paul No problems about using Paypal - it's just I object to feeding their pockets. Cash received OK. I have to ask - what is the 1.038 factor for?? I presume it represents the 3.8%. If so, you have mis-read the instructions - this figure kicks in on orders for 5 or more calendars; you have already added the 0.75 fee once for your order of 1 calendar. I'll take the extra as a donation to CA funds - not worth sending it back ;D ;D ;D Del Title: Re: Calendar Orders/Payment Post by: Dangermouse on October 04, 2007, 08:11:22 pm Delboy,
Was going to post a cheque but with this strike you'll probably not get it until you set off next June! If I send bank transfer, how will you know who it's from and where to send the calendar? Title: Re: Calendar Orders/Payment Post by: Piglet on October 04, 2007, 08:48:06 pm Delboy, Was going to post a cheque but with this strike you'll probably not get it until you set off next June! If I send bank transfer, how will you know who it's from and where to send the calendar? Because...as Del says in his first post you then send him an email with your details telling him you've made a payment. As a practical point if your bank allows you to enter a payment ref it's worth putting your name in. Title: Re: Calendar Orders/Payment Post by: Dangermouse on October 04, 2007, 08:51:28 pm OOps.......just re-read that....properly this time.

Title: Re: Calendar Orders/Payment Post by: DelBoy on November 14, 2007, 03:57:36 pm You havn't missed it.....it was never posted.
In order to heighten your level of anticipation and to increase the level of euphoria when you receive the calendar, it was decided not to publish which photos were selected, only the names of the people whose pics were used :-X :-X :-X Mainly, the photos selected were submitted by the following (in no particular order): Steve Brown Rick Cutler Lorry Mal BOB U Champion Audi Muzorewa Brad Wills Mogie Goodduck HtBast Pileopants Photos from some other contributors were also selected for some of the 'inserts'. The calendar is in print this week, so you should be receiving your copies within the next few days. 160 copies are being printed, which leaves a few 'spare', so if anyone who hasn't ordered, or if anyone wants additional copies, some will be available. Del Title: Re: Calendar Orders/Payment Post by: Bob U on November 14, 2007, 04:10:17 pm Don't get them too excited Del.
I should be picking them up on Thursday or Friday. The first priorety will be those for overseaes and those to be hand delivered to Rotterdam. The rest I will post put over the next week or so. They will be posted 2nd class so allow a few days for the Royal Mail to get their arses in gear and drop them through your letterboxes. I will however, post notice when the last of them have been despatched so everyone will know when they should have been recieved by. Title: Re: Calendar Orders/Payment Post by: goodduck on November 17, 2007, 12:27:16 am i am very exited to see the calendars now! cant wait to get my copies.
Title: Re: Calendar Orders/Payment Post by: Chris24 on November 17, 2007, 03:30:52 am Will there be a preview of the calendar once you have them though. You know, some people, myself included don't buy things without first seeing what we are buying. I know its for club funds etc, but I have already produced 3 calendars for myself for next year so would like to see whats on it before i bought a fourth calendar for next year.
Title: Re: Calendar Orders/Payment Post by: Steve Pyro on November 17, 2007, 12:30:02 pm You must have a spare £11 somewhere Chris?
(£11 = 2 bottles of reasonable wine in Tescos) Title: Re: Calendar Orders/Payment Post by: amazing 1 on November 17, 2007, 02:30:51 pm Does not mean he will spend it though. ;D
Title: Re: Calendar Orders/Payment Post by: Dirk3D_NL on November 17, 2007, 05:55:44 pm probably not at Tesco's wine (he'd better buy Tesco flowers :D )
Title: Re: Calendar Orders/Payment Post by: Chris24 on November 17, 2007, 10:37:00 pm £5.50 for a bottle of wine, you must be joking, £1.99p is more like it. Besides which if you ever see me in tesco's then I will probably be taking a dump through the letter box of pouring petrol through the letter box. Those bastards built on Blackburn stock car track and my hallowed Wigan Rugby League ground !
Title: Re: Calendar Orders/Payment Post by: Lorry on November 17, 2007, 11:47:06 pm Do we have a delivery date yet ( and thanks to those involved in the envelope licking) or do we have to torch the local Tescos first
Title: Re: Calendar Orders/Payment Post by: nickliv on November 17, 2007, 11:52:27 pm As long as we get them before we need them I'll be a happy man.
Just relax, and forget about them, then it'll be a nice surprise when they drop onto the mat. |
