Title: Wokingham De-Brief
Post by: rcutler on August 06, 2007, 09:32:38 pm
Friday the 31st at The Plough in Wokingham, just off the A329M.

I have now locked the voting.

Since LM was almost 2 months ago and with LMES only just over a month away I think a de-briefing session is required. I would suggest a Friday night so the smoke's has time to get back from Aberdeen.

I was thinking about the following dates.

17th , 24th, or 31st, or how do people feel about Saturday night?

Wokingham again or Reading, or Bracknell (Doris)?

I have started a poll for the dates and place, please select one of each.

I can make any of these at the moment.

Wokingham on the 17th is looking favourite.

I guess that we will be using the usual meeting point. (Which I have forgotton the name of, just know where it is)

What date should I close the voting I was thinking of the 15th of August.

The two of you that have indicated that you would like to meet on the 24th can you not make the 17th?

well should be OK by me, as soon as it is set i will scribble it on the kitchen calender so Mrs Dave can't say i didn't warn her.

But the Plough is such a long way to go for me, it will involve me walking for a good 10 minutes!!  ;D

How kind of you to think of me  :)

Friday night is the night I travel back, usually arrive home a bit after 8 (air traffic control permitting). So all of them are equally bad for me, but I'll be there anyway...

Thats what I like to see.Someone who will go through all of that, just to have a 'piss-up' with his buds.
Now thats dedication.

Wokingham again or Reading, or Bracknell (Doris)?

I appreciate the thought Rick but I'd rather chew of one of my hands than go out in Bracknell in the evening.

Last I heard was that they were being picked up by Doris from Termie at Spa.  I asked Tom to leave mine (8) with Doris and I would collect at Silverstone.  Not heard anything since.

Indeed they will they finally turned up in my hands last Friday.

I'll be sending them out by various means over the next few weeks.  I'm a bit snowed under at work and at Home right now.  Hence no post regarding them.

Correct! I would love to make it down to Goodwood for the day on either saturday or sunday but the cost of tickets is a bit steep!

Booked the Coppid Beach hotel, as was the same price as the travellodge but closer. The Hilton over the road was too much!

Got a perfectly good lounge floor that you could have slept on mate - I only live 5 mins from the old house.

I think I will probably be there, but on the bike, so won't be drinking, and it will more than likely be a flying visit....will try and re-arrange my diary!

LOL! I was a bit surprised to see the sheep running up the road, I asume the drunkards following them probably let them out of a field near the plough!

Went back to the hotel and passed out. Woke up at 6.30 this morning and felt like I had been banging my head against a wall all week.

Ah well it was a good night! Not long until LMS then November!

Yeah, my apologies too. Apparently some plane had a crisis on the runway at Heathrow last Froday moring so it was closed for a bit. Put my flight back 2.5 hours. When we boarded, they had some unidentified luggage so another 25 mins sitting on tarmac in Aberdeen. Rather late getting in as a result... There's always next time!!
