Title: RfH not on Spa 1000 km entry list
Post by: Werner on August 01, 2007, 02:06:06 pm
Just had a look at the provisional entry list at http://www.projectlemans.de/content/view/3398/1/ and they wrote that RfH will not participate but didn't mention a reason.
Any of the CA-DfH members knows what's going on?

That weekend there is also the Bavaria city race in Rotterdam, and RfH chose to attend that event instead of the LMS in Spa. As RfH is unfortunatly also known for the struggle for finances, I believe it might explain this somewhat odd choice.

Rumors draw the same line through to Silverstone and Petit Le Mans, but they are just rumors for now.
Apparently RfH would like to race the Mil Milhas in Brasil.

Too bad, as various DfH members have booked tickets to both Silverstone and Road Atlanta :-\

If cost is the problem then why do they opt for Brasil and drop Silverstone ?

I'm afraid I'm not in the position to reveil that much. Currently RfH is in a reorganising/refinancing phase where the costs of racing at Spa-Francorchamps just don't fit in. Any appearance (until further notice) is subject to sponsor obligations. Sounds worse than it is though. Any company losing money would cut expenses.

Nope ;D  Bavaria is also a beer brandname here in Holland (see www.bavaria.nl).
Glad they don't do logistics too, as they ran out of beer at the last A1GP at Zantvoort long before the race ended. Still haven't figured out why, the stuff is not very tasty :-\

Hi LangTall, And very nice it is too. My current favorite.....BEER  ::) Warsteiner raised their price and Bavaria arrived at lower cost ;D
Hi Pieter,
Still hoping RfH can make Petit.

Pieter,

Good luck with whatever your part is in sorting it out, so that RfH gets back on track!

See, they ran out too! ;D

No, I think it has more to do with a Dutch singer who promotes the stuff. Kinda puts me off drinking the stuff.
It's also one of the cheaper beers, like Amstel is here in Holland :-\

Almost just as bad as Oranjeboomboom by the way ;)

Mmmm. Limited funds. Only enough for one race. Brazil or Northamptonshire? Sun bronzed Beauties or pale rain sodden housewives. Mmmmm- tough call!

More to do with sponsor and driver David Hart (Real Estate Group) I think.
