Title: Village Restaurant
Post by: Dobbo on July 15, 2007, 09:55:28 am
Did anyone else go to the tented restaurant in the Village? You had to pay 35 Euros BEFORE being seated. It was only once we came to order that the shattering news was broken: there was no creme caramel left! If only I had gone for the tried and tested tartiflette and grand marnier creppes!

When we went for a Crepe they had no chocolate option- we were devastated! We swiftly repaired at once to Carrefour and bought pan, mixture, chocy and a bottle of Marnier and had a half dozen or so each- karma was restored!
 Why drop the chocolate?

I'd rather be banished to Maison 'over-hyped' Blanche than miss out on Chocolate for a week! ;D
 That will upset the locals!
 Camping Bleu rules OK!!

Noun 1. turncoat - a disloyal person who betrays or deserts his cause or religion or political party or friend etc.
apostate, deserter, ratter, recreant, renegade, quitter - a person who gives up too easily

Renegade- always saw that as a good thing!
Mind you, a friend once had one of those Renegade Jeep things, it spent a lot of time quitting and giving up. Very apt name really- well done to those clever marketing types.

You leave him be. He is a convert from the dark side and, someone who has tried both MB and HA. You only had to look at the smile on his face this year to realise that he had been fooling himself all these years.

Just out of interest- if HA goes next year where will all the HAers go?

As far as I know next year will see no difference and HA will operate as normal ;D. I believe that the work on the footy stadium is not scheduled to start until after June next year. Perhaps Deb knows different to this, maybe there has been an update locally. After that, who knows, but rest assured we will be there somewhere.

Well there will always be a warm welcome on Bleu Sud, its a little close to the rabble on MB I know, but its alright- just don't tell too many others Ok?

you can't knock bleu for a spot of camping IMHO. All those other spots are just over rated.

Might be time to inaugurate some sort of triangle on Bleu to rival the hairy and platinum offerings on lesser sites. What do you think fellow Bleusters?

We would need a sud triangle and a nord triangle tho.... due to the increasing popularity of Camping Bleu forcing the opening of a second field!!!  ;D

We were on Bleu Nord for the first time this year (having done Houx, Houx Annexe and Karting Nord in succession over previous years) and, aside from our encounter with thieving miscreants (which hasn't put us off) found it to be a good site.  Getting our collective sh*t together and inaugurating a "Bleu triangle" next year would be a fine idea - there were certainly enough of us on there this year to make it worthwhile.

Great idea, but i think due to the north south divide rather than a triangle what about a 'bleu vein' which could run through the 2 areas say from teh entrance to the back fence with all CA'ers tents on the throbbing vein.

Well, you've got 23 months to think about it - you're already too late for '08 viz a viz pitch numbering   >:( >:( >:(

Well there, Del, ever the optimist there eh?  ;)  This year, they didn't seem too phased about checking whether people were pitching in the right zone or not, so we may be OK with a bit of imaginatiove pitching, but if they do impose a stricter regime next year, we can always plan ahead a bit more by finding out who is in which zone rather than just on which site  :)

I'm going back a few tears, my my time on Bleu was generally enjoyable.

We used to camp between the road to Arnage  and the emergency gate to the airport.  Just by the bushes & trees near the airport fence.

When it pi**ed down, the ground never got wet as it was basically sand.

It also gave a good view of testing on the runway.

I think that should intimidate those show offs of old with their 'triangle'. Imagine their awe as they feel the new power of the bleu vien.

I think mid way along the vein you will find the 'Drinking for Wokingham' camp.

All that the platinum triangle ever seems to have caused me after visiting it is "une grande tete de palpitation".  La grande veine de palpitation bleue has a certain je ne sais quoi......
