Title: auberge Post by: gibberish on June 22, 2007, 02:15:33 pm Well, we stayed at the Auberge le Bounty this year. Very nice place owned by Steve, and run by Alan and Nikki. Food was great, and anice little bar. Made a nice change from the campsite melee, and with more bogs and showers per head. recommended to anyone who wants a little more peace with shuttle bus service to and from the circuit.

Le Bounty is owned by Steve & John and the managers are Dene & Karen. 2 cabins have been built, 1 with 3 showers and 3 wash-basins, the other with 4 bog’s and 3 urinals. New for 2009 was a ladies only shower and bog this has been refurbished and we have added a washroom\changing room with English 13amp socket. More showers and bogs are being added for 2010 making a total of 8 showers and 8 bogs all with 24 hour constant hot water. The bar in the restaurant has now been refurbished stocking 1664 on draft and for race events hand pumped London Pride. Camping is round one of the lakes and a lot of work has been done for the 2010 season. We pride ourselves on our food all of which is local and fresh, apart from bacon and our superb sausages that are made for us. We also have 6 hook up points for camper-vans\caravans. Parking is on secure hard ground. Many Thanks John |
