Title: Speed Cameras Post by: nopanic - neil on June 11, 2007, 09:33:31 pm Report from Wishy,
According to our man in the field - When he travelled down this morning, on the N16 (if thats the right No.) Just past the pay booth - at the end of the toll road, was a nice policeman taking pics of speeding vehicles. So as this is only Monday, I think it may be worth being extra careful in France this week. And, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but was there an article in the press recently, saying now the French computer system is up in running, any speeding fines will show on you UK licence - so does that mean more bl**dy points? - Anybody out there, know anymore more? Title: Re: Speed Cameras Post by: Douglas on June 11, 2007, 10:25:16 pm 'fraid they will appear on your UK licence, but it may take some time for them to appear. Bastards
Doug Title: Re: Speed Cameras Post by: lynxd67 on June 11, 2007, 10:38:40 pm Wrong Douglas. Until the european driving licence comes out in a few years the french cannot take action against UK plate holders unless they stop them on the spot and fine them. Getting flashed by a fixed or mobile radar will not incur any penalty at the moment. Today I have been to Maison Blanche and, despite their assurances to the contrary, all plots are marked out already.
However, changing the subject slightly, two nights back on my way back from Le Mans centre I was stopped by controls twice and made to blow into the machine. They are really out to catch drink drivers it seems. Title: Re: Speed Cameras Post by: Robbo SPS on June 12, 2007, 04:38:04 am I concur.
