Title: E Mail problems
Post by: Brian(Liverpool boys) on May 03, 2007, 05:44:39 pm
Help required, i am receiving e mails ok, apart from one sender, when recieved it is in code, example below.

 <html><div style='background-color:'><DIV class=RTE>
<P>Which page am I checking out?<BR><BR></P></DIV>
<DIV></DIV>
<BLOCKQUOTE style="PADDING-LEFT: 5px; MARGIN-LEFT: 5px; BORDER-LEFT: #a0c6e5 2px solid; MARGIN-RIGHT: 0px"><FONT style="FONT-SIZE: 11px; FONT-FAMILY: tahoma,sans-serif">
<HR color=#a0c6e5 SIZE=1>

Anyone have a clue as to why this is happening, is it my PC or the senders that is corrupting the text.

Any help would be apprieciated.

At a quick glance, what you have posted contains a lot of html tags.

I am guessing that you have your email software set to not display emails sent in html format. Can you check your mail software settings to see?

Also, make sure you know who this mail is coming from, otherwise just delete it.

Brian,
It looks like they're onto you, I've seen this happen in South America, and there's not much that can be done now. Get the women and children into the car and head for the hills. They've got computers, they're tapping phonelines, you might not ever get home. Take some bottled water and plenty of toilet roll.
Good luck mate.
H

Thanks for that, yes I do know the sender.

Brian, it does look that your email is set to text and not html (web page language). The above message comes across as 'Which page am I checking out?' in a rectangular dashed box.
