Title: Reading Planning Meeting
Post by: Lorry on April 07, 2007, 12:17:18 am
Doesn't time fly

It must be time to agree all those final details.

Same pub in Wokingham?  But what date - May

Reading for Me!

I would avoid the weekend of the 6-7th as that is the FIA GT's at Silverstone and BTCC at Thruxton.
The weekend after I think I am free at the moment.

Any time any place anywhere

Any time anyplace works for me too.

If we're going for a Saturday why not 12th May.    That's just four weeks before we go.

I'm assuming the Plough.

Wokingham would get my vote, but can't make the 12th May, I'm in France.

Friday might be a better day, as some of us have wives and girlfriends who like to be taken out on Saturday's. With LM on the horizon we need the brownie points.

If it has to be a Saturday there is always 28th April.

Right

Sat 28th April
Fri 11th May

Any one want to offer other dates?

Can we make it earlier? I finish work at 5 in Wokingham. I will see if I can find somewhere to stay locally for the night otherwise it will be a two pint night out.

Does that mean I'll find a green man asleep on my sofa again? must get some especially greasy bacon in just in case!  ;D

Probably, by the time most of us finish work and get to Wokingham at about 7.30/8, Rick will be 'tied and emotional' already ;D

I'm sure a pretty little thing like you will be able to find somewhere to bed for the night here in the 'naam, plenty of us (well not me obviously being married with kid, cough cough) locals get cold at night and would welcome the company. The locals should also be able to keep you entertained for a couple of hours after work as well, but if that isn't your thing my advise is to try to avoid an area known as 'Beanoak', you will be far safer getting a cab to 'Norreys Barn'.

Yes time date and location all good for me, can't believe its come round so quick again.

:o  Late?? You'll be there the day after unless you are on a flight to heathrow which won't be delayed, or have a rocket powered car!!

Surprisingly, BM flights usually run pretty much to time - often 20 mins late leaving but on time arrival. It's the waiting for baggage which takes the time...

Hmm you must use a different BMI.

I went to Rome for a Weekend at teh airport on the way out they told they had canceled the return flight so we would need to fly back the Day before.  I said  I can't get back to Rome for then you'll have to put me uup for the Night and I'll come back a day later.  :-)

Then there was the time I went to Edinbough Fog in London had cause all sorts of problems.  They transfered me to an ealier flight that left later than my scheduled flight.    Got to LHR no problems though a bit late.  Then sat in the plane on the tarmac for about 90 minutes waiting for a gate.  FFS.  I spent longer in the plane on the ground at LHR than I did in the air.

Then just last week returning from Dublin.  Get back to LHR sit in the plane for fifteen minutes cos of some thing left in the way so the Plane couldn't get to the Jet way.

Not my favorite Airline.

Amazing - the two of us in walking distance seem to have the most difficulty getting there (my excuse is, as always recently, Aberdeen).
