I have edited the damn video.......
It's 500mb ( :o) - KK is trying to work out if we can host it. Does anyone have any webspace/bandwidth hanging around to spread the load?

Piglet - I might be able to help...
I've just been playing around with Google Groups as a way of managing some files for a club. As long as everything gets to work ok then it shouldnt be a problem. I also have a spare couple of servers but would rather not open them up too far (not sure what BT would think either!).
The other alternative is that I turn it into a torrent so that we all share the burden....
Let me know and I will create you an FTP site to upload it to.

I wondered about You Tube - never used it though - presumably they have a size limit?

Bitorrent would do the trick. If you don't know how to do it i'll set up a torrent for you. Then you just need a few (Well the more the Merrier).

OK, it's on Rick Cutler's server at the momemt - I'm just about to post the link so we'll see how quickly CA can trash his server!
Bit torrent (whatever that may be!) sounds good - I'm guessing even if Rick's server stands up to today, it'll be better to have the file in a couple of places to avoid too much pressure on one person's webspace/bandwidth etc?
Tom could you have a go at setting it up with the nice people who've offerered to help? Hopefully DfH and/or Pieter have some space - there's quite a lot of their party on the vid so I'd imagine they'll want to link to it.

500 MB means that after 10 downloads I would have gone through half my bandwidth for a month on DfH. :-\
Torrent's are nice things to do, but only if everybody has a computer that stays on 24/7 (I know I have).
Downloading it from Rick's site, it's 59 MB Piglet, not 500. ::)

Ahh OK when I was creating it it said 500mb and I'm pretty sure that wasn't the video input. Perhaps it's compressed somehow? I dunno I'm a girl and of an age where technology is starting to pass me by as a loud whooshing noise over my head ;D
So at 59mb it should trash Rick's server/bandwidth too much then?

59 < 500 ;D My guess is that the raw material is 500 MB, the wmv (which is indeed a compressed format) is 59.
