Title: A Plea From Your Head of Charity
Post by: Doris on January 18, 2007, 06:18:59 pm
Hi All,

I need to get a bank account set up for all the wonderful money we're going to raise for charity this year and would ideally like to have at least one other signatory for the account (two if possible).  Obviously it would be easier if these could be people who all live relatively close to me (Bracknell).

Any volunteers out there?  Please?

I'm not the closest to you but not a million miles away either.

I'd be happy to be a second signatory if you want me to!

I'm close by as well - I'm sure Daddy wouldn't mind being a signatory too, which keeps it to two houses.....

If you need us you know where we are....

and no that doesn't mean the pub.....

Sorry if I miised the posting, what happened to last years money, was there a presentation.

Just wondered if there might be something to include in the CA Guide, or some PR to be had.

What Charities are we accepting donations to  this year in return for tax exemptions?
Alternatively if we don't get donations, we will look more closely at your returns and may send the boys, sorry,  inspectors round.

It did indeed.

Martin - There are pics on the DfH website of them presenting me with the tub of money that was collected on the Friday night.  There was no big presentation to Cancer Research.  I just wrote them a cheque and they sent me a certificate.

Thanks D, just wondered if there was anything that could have been used in the CA guide to encourage non members to donate and show that we are credible.
