Title: I require a roofer Post by: Brian(Liverpool boys) on January 18, 2007, 03:26:36 pm Bloody storm has ripped a lot of ridge tiles from my roof, insurance company says " obtain the services of a roofing contractor ".
Looking at houses around me there is 9 that require the same service. Looks like I will get one first week in June. They will be as rare as rocking horse sh*t. Title: Re: I require a roofer Post by: termietermite on January 18, 2007, 03:35:42 pm Poor you. I remember a similar response after the hurricane all those years ago, from our insurance company. Are they taking the p*ss? Cowboys popped up all over the bloomin' place. Bon courage, like what they say 'ere.

One ridge tile nearly did some damage. I live opposite to Brian, I am just waiting for my roof to follow.

Gave me a welcome break from my thesis or as I'm now calling it the document of doom.

But with motorways completely blocked (one from the south, and one from the west) it was an easy drive, as I used those roads just after the point where the blockades where :)
Title: Re: I require a roofer Post by: Lazy B'stard on January 18, 2007, 11:28:31 pm Same story oop north too, I've lost 4 tiles and have a damp patch on my bedroom ceiling, I've just spent every weekend and evening solid since the Classic doing the bloody place up too, only moved in last week after 5 months with the in-laws!
Oh and the expensive car cover I bought from hamiltons is in the top of the trees over the road, its pissing down so the old Alfa will be soaking inside by now, will it still have floor pans by daybreak??? Sick as **** >:( Title: Re: I require a roofer Post by: nopanic - neil on January 18, 2007, 11:31:58 pm Can you get my Cherry Picker near your roof? (on the drive) As I have to do my roof and my sister in law's roof tomorrow and also do some sign work (TK Max - Chester, nearly lost their big wall sign)
If you get stuck, let me know. The earliest I can get there is Tue. By the way, roofing is not my favourite, as I don't like get out the basket at heights. But if you get stuck let me know. This all depends on if can get hold of a short roof ladder. Things we do for CA members. ( if HSE are looking, I'm only joking) now I know why adrenaline is brown. :-X I'm always a bit concerned when I'm using them after I saw the legs snap of one in France and also when a brand new one we used once had a fault on the leg and would gradually tip over. Get me out this f***ing cage. >:( >:( |
