Post by: Bob U on December 12, 2006, 12:56:38 pm
A bit expensive but no doubt interesting.

Cheaper on Amazon.

Thanks Bob.
Yes, Santa would definately earn his glass of sherry and mince pie if he dragged that down my chimney (note to self - do not light fire on 24th Dec.)

It's a hefty tome and well illustrated and written.  Trevor Legate has previously written other books on the AC 289 / 427.  I'm not sure if this is an updated reissure.

Still better than this book --> https://www.mclaren.co.uk/shop/item.php?id=SUT0001
Sixty five quid for a book that's completely photoshopped, all cigarette advertisements have been removed. So much for motor racing history... :-\

That has to be the biggst waste of money since I bet on Welling United to win the Champions League this year! What a load of twonk. Bad enuff to pay 65 notes for 40 prints anyway and the four samples they have on the webpage don't actually inspire that much either!

Just goes to distance me ever more from a once fabulous branch of the sport!  >:(

Rant over (for the minute!).....  ;)

Jesus, thats worse than the Nascar comentators calling past champions Nextel Cup Champions, when they were in fact Winston Cup Champions. You can't change history and never should. If they had ciggy sponsorship when they were taken then thats how they should stay forever. Not photoshopped to please the PC crowd of today. Hope they don't sell any.
