Title: The only car to hire in USA Post by: nopanic - neil on October 28, 2006, 11:56:17 pm (http://www.rsportscars.com/foto/04/shelbygth06_04.jpg) I remember reading details about this in the 80's, people hire the car for the weekend and took them to the race track. You would think they would had learnt then. from hertz ad - "In 1966 the Hertz Corporation and Carroll Shelby produced 1000 Shelby Mustangs. Together, they made these high-performance, special-edition Ford Mustangs available to car rental customers. And the car rental business was never the same. 40 years later, the thrill is back. Introducing the Shelby GT-H—a one-of-a-kind limited edition, available exclusively through Hertz. It’s just one of the many exhilarating cars that you can reserve from the Hertz Fun Collection. And unlike the 1966 Shelby, this one comes equipped with SIRIUS Satellite Radio, like all Fun Collection vehicles" Title: Re: The only car to hire in USA Post by: rcutler on October 29, 2006, 12:10:34 am They are all sold out during March in Florida :'(

Nice pic, Ford. Why is it than one of those cars appears to have been designed by a talented person and a nice sharp pencil, and the other by some sort of hamfisted dimwit and their computer? Some cars came back with remnants of drag racing decals left on the screen or doors and legend has it that on one car there was evidence of a temporary roll cage being welded in! The later batch of 350 H's came as autos to try and stop the 'weekend racers'....

Title: Re: The only car to hire in USA Post by: Ferrari Spider on October 29, 2006, 07:46:56 pm i found the opposite Paddy, had CA on one of my Firefox tabs and that's the reason why I'm top of the list. Mr Brown is welcome to the title, makes you look like a sad ole git with nothing better to do. Have seen comments about it on another motor sport forum.
BTW if you're looking for a replacement film stock camera I believe Mr Brown has been trying to flog one on e-bay recently! |
