Post by: Martini...LB on October 21, 2006, 01:14:42 pm Is anyone compiling the 2007 dates for European racing events that might be of interest, including Classic racing etc. Nurburgring Spa etc.
Just wondered if someone had more time on their habds than I do. I want to vary my races next year but not sure what to do after SEBRING. Perhaps Pieter has a list as he prob goes to more than most, or even Termie. A dated list with a couple of comments would prob be handy for everyone. Thanks >Martini... I've added the DfH Rotterdam meet and the Jersey meet to the calendar. There should also be a new 'Upcoming Events' box in the Info Centre on the forum front page. It's currently showing the DfH meet as a link to that post. How you getting on Deb? Title: Re: 2007 Dates from the ACO! Title: Re: 2007 Dates from the ACO! Post by: smokie on October 23, 2006, 02:33:25 pm Not sure everyone will want their birthdays to be common knowledge. Mine isn't there for some reason.
It's quite usual to pilot this kind of thing before going live ya know! (I've checked - the birthdays option is definitely off - I tried changing the colour but that didn't help as I can't find out what the background colour os - maybe a server reboot will remvoe them) Title: Re: 2007 Dates from the ACO! Post by: DelBoy on October 23, 2006, 02:39:36 pm Not sure everyone will want their birthdays to be common knowledge. Mine isn't there for some reason. Your date of birth is probably not set in your profile. Mine wasn't earlier, and my birthday didn't appear either. So if anyone doesn't want their birthday to show, simply zero out the date of birth in your profile. Del Title: Re: 2007 Dates from the ACO! I saw yours earlier Del, it was set to Jan 13th and said you would be 62? Title: Re: 2007 Dates from the ACO! Post by: DelBoy on October 23, 2006, 02:51:01 pm I saw yours earlier Del, it was set in Jan or Dec and said you would be 62? That's correct, Peter (in Jan). Initially my B'day didn't show, and like Smokie, wondered why, and eventually found out. Meant to delete the DoB again, but couldn't be bothered. I don't have a problem with being the oldest member currently listed, apart from Brian (Liverpool Boys) - I don't believe he will be 102 next birthday!! Del Title: Re: 2007 Dates from the ACO! Post by: Ferrari Spider on October 23, 2006, 02:55:04 pm I do have an issue with birth dates as some of the professional bodies i belong to it is part of the logging on process. so all sorts of mayhem could be caused!
Title: Re: 2007 Dates from the ACO! Post by: Steve Pyro on October 23, 2006, 03:21:25 pm The current version of this forum software (SMF 1.1) has an option to turn birthdays off at admin level.
We're using SMF 1.0.7, which requires a modification to coding at server level. Title: Re: 2007 Dates from the ACO! Post by: Bob U on October 23, 2006, 03:25:20 pm If this is just a calender of events do we need a reply feature on it ?
We have been known to wander off topic occasionally and IMHO this would be detremental to the usefullness of the calender of the events list. There is plenty of room to discuss individual races etc on the open forum. Just a thought Title: Re: 2007 Dates from the ACO! It's all very well saying preople can remove them from their profiles but most of our membership hasn't logged on for months. Steve, we should see if Lennarts can upgrade to the later version...
