Yep. Great fun but I'm too heavy to get the best out of a small kart.
Went to a corporate karting do last week near Daventry.
The invited guests were the good and great in motoring ( Mercedes / Prodrive / MIRA etc etc ) while I was a lowly architect as a guest of the organiser.
Out of 36, I came 35th, - I suspect everybody else was a frustrated racing driver !
Quote of the night I overheard was ...
" Who do you work for..."
" Prodrive "
" What do they do ?"
" Have you heard of WRC and the Le Mans Aston Martin? ( Yeah )"
" Well - thats us "
Embaressed silence and punter slowly exits left...

Do they still do the Sand racing on the Beach? As I remember it (going back 25 years) it was at the north of the Island and they used similar kit to Grass tracking.

Any more details on this - Muz jnr has been itching to do karting ever since he saw me make a complete mess of Three Sisters (not three sisters ::)), and knowing that people like Schumi started in karts.
Do they provide the karts, where do they race, who is it open to, age groups etc etc.
