Title: Drinking for Holland yearbook
Post by: Pieter on September 14, 2006, 12:49:27 pm
We, DfH, are preparing a full colour yearbook, covering all the events we have visited, member profiles, friends of DfH and so on. It will be bilingual, CA and its members will be mentioned of course. Anyone who might be interested in buying a copy (prices not available yet), please let me know, so we can estimate how many copies we have to print.

Working on quotes at the moment. My target is a maximum of £15,-, but I think quality is also an issue...

Can't speak personally about the quality (you judge) but have a look through http://www.flickr.com/photos/97986095@N00/
If anything takes your fancy, I can e-mail you bigger files.

You'll have some admisintration then - with 120 pages, Pieter :P

By the way, this will be a book about supporters. With all respect, don't think we will have loads of racing cars in it.

Yes, and I suspect every CA member has about 2000 more photos each!  I know I have!

True, but I want some track action in there as well, just to give a taste of the event and the track. So shots from cars in track significant corners are eligible.

Take a look at KK's pictures and let him know if there is anything interesting.

I'm still trying to get round to finishing eding my LM video - got lots of poo bar footage that might translate into pictures but I'm not sure what the quality would be like as stills?

I'm going to burn a whole bunch of raw footage onto DVD at some time for a couple of people so if I let Pieter have a copy perhaps he can have a look?

KK has some very nice and usable shots, I'll let him know if I need any.

True, but first it has te arrive at the DfH address. If the initial mail is bigger then 10 MB, it ill be rejected due to the limit.  :police:

Yes, I would love to have a couple of shots from Turn 10 people in 2006.

What format, what size?

I can post them online at Selfstudio
for you to download...

I'll give you previews to pick from.

What's your timeframe for production?

Title: Re: Drinking for Holland yearbook
Post by: Pieter on September 19, 2006, 07:04:05 pm
Well, I'm basically looking for pics that tell a story. A great track shot from somebody who came in 7th doesn't really work, a shot from playing golf at Turn 10 does. Or you pissing on a burning sofa for that matter. ;D

It's supposed to be a fun recap on this year with some racing as an entourage, so to speak.

If you can preselect a couple of shots that you think are within this format, please put them online and I will download them. As for size: Not sure really, 2 MB should do.

As for format, .psd or (original) .jpg will do. Easiest to fiddle around with in the apropreate programme:)

Hi Pieter,

no shots from turn 10 - didn't make it to Sebring yet - but I have plenty of shots from Spa 1000 km with some from the DfH team and of course also from Le Mans. If you like, just pm me your postal address and I can send you a CD, may be you can use some of the pics...

Aren't there any pics of the reunion going to be in there? Since the deadline is 15 november and the reunion 25th/26th?

If you want to do that last minute I can take and edit the pics there and you'll have them on monday. Can't promiss anything for sunday.  :o

The section for it can be prepared with open text and image blocks. You only have to stick to the sizes then.
