SPAM !!! Just Joking,

They had a similar offer on last year but it had to be used up in 12 months, giving 24 months to use is certaintly interesting. Only problem is I have a motorhome and that falls into a different price bracket even though it takes up no more room on a seacat?

Or am mistaken ??

Speed ferries offer finishes at 1700hrs on monday at £270 for 10 crossings.

Dad bought a 1960's VW when I was a couple of weeks old, then sold it when I was 8. Traded up to a Swift Kontiki 600L. They kept the van for 4 years and sold it for another Kontiki a 640L, mainly because of the improved layout and equipment. Then in 2000 another upgrade was thought and they decided to buy the Allegro Bay that has been to LM twice now.

The first year dad came to LM was 2004 when he can in my VW, he said that year that he would be back but only in the Allegro.

I was only selling the VW last year as I was getting into financial difficulty and had to sell the most obvious things I owned. As knowone wanted to pay sensible money for the van it never sold. In september last year I was promoted at work meaning I had enough funds to not only keep the van but also make good use of it.

I would be pointless me bringing my VW to LM if dad is taking his van, however I use the VW for cycling events around the UK as well as visisiting the other motorsport events throughout the year.

Speaking of which - how is that job assignment with ProDrive coming along, Rick?

Not much news lately, Just as I was about to be offered a Job in Banbury, ProDrive were offered the place in F1 which they were not expecting. Dave R said that I may be better suited to F1 as my electronics background is more favourable there. He also said that way I can still spectate and actually see some sportscar racing too. As far as I am aware a site has not yet been found for the F1 facility which will ultimately decide whether the job is a goer or not.

I bought 10 crossing (5 returns) for £180 in Dec 2005 and they have to be used within two years of date of booking.

So no change there then...  :) except the price...

I find that you need to book SpeedFerries in advance, it is difficult to find popular crossings if you are travelling on a whim... I guess it's all these pre-sales which casue that

Smokester, have you booked for next year yet on speedferries, or will you give it a miss if you're taking the same rig as this year?

Do we know the dates? If so I will book for next year. Don't intend taking the trailer again if I can help it  - but some things will be left behind...

The weekend dates for June 2007 are as follows

1st Weekend 2-3rd June
2nd Weekend 9-10th June
3rd Weekend 16-17th June
4th Weekend 23-24th June

My money is on the 16-17th June as that is in the ball park of all the previous dates.

The second weekend would be a very early LM. (Less time to wait this year though)

It was that weekend (12/13th) in 2004.  I remember it well 'cos I got married (again) a week later on the 19th.  Good timing really, for the last two years I have been at LM for our anniversary   :) :) :)

Hope to God it is the 3rd weekend in 2007 - my son is getting married on a Greek island on the 10th.

Del

I always think it is the weekend before the summer solstice. That way they have most light. So book the 16th and 17th weekend.
