What have you done Paddy. At least you can have the right to BAR certain glitterati from the DfH campsite in future ;)

Disagree Del, it doesn't say that at all; it says from posting or sending PM's on this forum. The ban is about PM's. I know what it is trying to say, but it don't say it in the words.

The head honcho has let us down again. ;)

I could still receive PM's though, got one from Smokie explaining why...

Just thought it was rather funny to use the remark I got on top of the forum as my avatar ;D

I hadn't used the button before. When you ban a user you have choices of what kind of Ban - Full Ban, Cannot Post (or PM), Cannot Register.

You can also ban by username, email address, IP address or Hostname.

And a ban can be set to expire in a number of days, or Never.

The mesage presented to the user is a system message over which I have no control - except I can add text to it to inform the user why he's banned (which I didn't in this case).

Want me to ban you Peter then you can see how it looks too? ;D ;D
