Title: ACO Membership Breakdown Service
Post by: DelBoy on June 22, 2006, 02:26:01 pm
Just been pointed to a posting on the Aston Owners Club forum: check out "Le Mans: did we all get back OK? or: bad luck comes in 3's..." thread

http://www.amoc.org/forum/index.php?topic=1594.0

Seems that the recovery service offered with ACO membership is a bit more than a tow to the nearest garage.

Can't make up my mind if his third problem is good or bad!!

I am an ACO member, and have been since 1996, but my Volvo breakdown was not covered by that membership. For some reason, the ACO decided to discontinue roadside recovery from the formula. Only if you have continuous membership since it was cancelled (not sure when) will they still cover you.
For some reason when I renewed last year, they gave me a 'new' membership number and that lost me my roadside recovery.

Watch out!!
