Title: CLASSIC: who, where, when, in what. Post by: Barry on June 21, 2006, 03:42:11 pm Jo and I are arriving on Maison Blanche between 7 & 8pm on Thursday departing Monday, Dover/Calais, in a silver blue Audi A6 Avant.
CA flag will be in evidence, CAer's and DFHer's welcome to pop in for a cold beer. Not long now, cleaning the gear from last week end and repacking it for 2 weeks time ;D ;D ;D 8) <I've made this a sticky by request, no sooner back from LM than we're planning to go again ;D - Steve> Title: Re: Classic: who, where, when, in what. Post by: termietermite on June 21, 2006, 03:44:50 pm Camping next to the Moggie with the owners' club. Don't know precisely where yet but last year was inside the circuit near Dunlop.
Taking a couple of turns around the circuit in a DB Panhard. Title: Re: Classic: who, where, when, in what. Post by: Kpy on June 21, 2006, 03:54:11 pm I'll be down on the Thursday in the Sprint Veloce. Meeting up with a 1950 AC, an Alpine 110 and a Lancia Integrale, plus whatever Bas is driving. I'll stay with my friends near Le Lude Thursday and maybe Friday - they have a large swimming pool, but it's raining hard in Normandy at the moment. I'll sort the rest out when I get there.
Looking forward to seeing those of you who are coming ;) Title: Re: Classic: who, where, when, in what. Post by: Steve Pyro on June 21, 2006, 04:32:24 pm Myself and 19 others (in 10 cars) will be taking a steady drive down on Thursday 6th after a 07:00 Speedferries early start. Returning Monday pm.
We're camping in MB - maybe a CA enclave - how about around the Golden Triangle area? Look out for a red Pontiac Trans Am, some other odds and ends and half a dozen cobras. Note - there will also be a vast amount of other cobras (upwards of 60 on MB) - our group will be in our own little spot in a more upmarket part of MB. Title: Re: Classic: who, where, when, in what. I see that there are only Karting Nord camping tickets available. Assume you booked you MB ticket early and that they are all sold out? If not, how did you get it? <I've made this a sticky by request, no sooner back from LM than we're planning to go again ;D - Steve> Title: Re: CLASSIC: who, where, when, in what. Post by: Pieter on June 22, 2006, 05:16:53 pm I'll be there from friday night until Monday. I'd like to join the others, as I'm the sole representative from DfH as far as I know, so save me a spot, please! Will only have a small tent and the Mondeo.
Title: Re: CLASSIC: who, where, when, in what. Post by: termietermite on June 22, 2006, 05:19:50 pm Have just heard from the ACO that MB is full, Karting Nord only camping space now. Judging by last year though, there'll be nobody out at Musanne (the place wasn't even signposted) so it's back to the bivvie there for us. GT40s at sunrise - fab.
Title: Re: CLASSIC: who, where, when, in what. Post by: rcutler on June 22, 2006, 05:21:02 pm Will be there by Thursday Evening, might use the eurostar and TGV. If coming down with sconefinger then I will arrive along with them on Friday morning.
Two weeks to go then!!!! Work have backed down and I am now not on business so I guess I will be going ;D. Title: Re: CLASSIC: who, where, when, in what. Post by: Andy Zarse on June 22, 2006, 05:52:55 pm Should be there late fri night/early sat am. The Gimp is driving, so it's quite possible we won't make it. ???
Seeing as it's the Classic, can anyone suggest some mildly retro clothes for that "Classic Gimp" look? Title: Re: CLASSIC: who, where, when, in what.
