Title: LM Week 2006 & Helicopter Views of the circuit
Post by: Ferrari Spider on June 21, 2006, 03:26:59 pm
Manged to download a few shots on to webshots, all untouched, just too knackered too fiddle with them.

The aerial views are worth a look especially around the Dunlop Bridge and Tertre Rouge as you can see the work that has occurred and what lays ahead.

Maybe some are worth an inclusion in next years guide!!  and maybe campsite planning!!

I'm seriously thinking about camping away from Lm next year, it just seemed so much busier this year than my previous three visits.  MB to Torture Rouge is such a long walk especially at my age, maybe invest in a couple of parking tickets may make it easier for the poor ole' fool.

My lawn?

could be; how much room do you have?

About an acre, although avoiding the dobbins can be fun!  Seriously, I guess there's room for half a dozen tents altough only one loo at present - hopefully 2 by next year.  Termie-annexe?

I beleive your problem with walking isn't as much your age, but something else FS. ;) Take what you can, but don't rush remember?

I originally booked to fly on the sat at 2.00 to watch the classic, and they threw in a 10pm one as well (dont know why) and since i paid for 4 seats it was 50 euro each.. then the called me to say that they mucked up the booking so I could have 10.50 am on the sunday.. still at 50 euro.. bargain or what!! ;D

Ahhh, its for the classic all comes clear, in comparison the classic prices do seem less, another example is track laps.  During the 24 hr race they are 700+ euros, for the classic just over a 100 euros.

Have a great time, if you can have a go in the Alouette III helicopter, good amount of room and plenty of perspex to look through.

Sorry, saga moment, where's your pics then!!  Be good to see them on the forum, anything useful we could use in the guide, like kamping karting nord etc.

There are plenty of free picture hosting websites out there, Webshots is one you could look at Pbase or Fotopic and if you keep you eye out as you cruise the other forums you will come across others.

Mr Brown uses Webshots and I used that as a recommendation and have several names to store my shots.

All very simple to load your shots onto there servers, although might not be a good idea to use them for safe storage, you'll need to back them up onto a DVD or CD at home.

When you come to use a shot on the forum, just be careful about the type, dimensions and kb's its all there for you. I use Photoshop Elements to re-size my shots and use JPEG, 500 pixels in width and 50kbs in size.  all set through the "save for web" menu.

Come back for more help if needed, all the best, looking forward to seeing your shots.

This picture is taken by Robbie, the American guy with the beard who stayed with us.
Very clear to see is the DfH and JPC camp. By the looks of it this shot is taken on Sunday afternoon, as Delboy has already packed up...

Great guy, great picture 8)

Sometime Sunday morning, Paddy.  We packed up that far then went over to the circuit.  We didn't fancy packing up in 36 degrees like we had to last year.

That's me sitting under the gazebo middle left.
