Title: DFH Post by: redstu on June 19, 2006, 10:00:17 pm To Paddy and the DFH/JPC crew and the Flying Baguettes.
What a gig on Friday! The Absolute highlight of 06. I even managed to hear the thanks to Paddy on radio Le Mans at about 13:30 Sunday, didn't catch the full mention though due to dodgy reception on the freebee Audi radio. With this worldwide fame you could start up a Brand! Title: Re: DFH Post by: Dirk3D_NL on June 19, 2006, 11:16:50 pm humble thanks, other members of DFH will post later also i guess :)
the Radio LeMans mentioning was very cool, they were thanking DFH and Paddy especially for making the friday night for what it was. Also the Flying Baguettes and the Brethren where mentioned by name for their contributions Title: Re: DFH Post by: Chris24 on June 19, 2006, 11:25:18 pm Yes big thanks too from me and to Team JPC for getting me so drunk that I have no memory of leaving (3 am I was told) walking back to blue nord, crossing the road, the car park and camp site. Locking my camera in the car, getting undressed and then puting on my CA t shirt and a pair of undies on backwards before falling to sleep. Non of which I have any memory of !
Title: Re: DFH Post by: Paddy_NL on June 19, 2006, 11:54:09 pm Thank you too, RedStu! What I actually want to say is that we all made it the night it was. And my God - it was A night!
It started off for Roy, Marius and me driven up and down from our campsite for a flash-visit to the RfH-pitbox with VIP treatment. We saw Stefan, Alex and Jan and handed Jan 'his' shirt (Click for photo bottom left (http://www.janlammers.com/XmlParser/index3.asp?xmlfile=racingforholland\fotogallery\gallery.xml&xslfile=racing-for-holland\fotogallery\more.xsl&id=93)). Then we got back to find Canal+ filming the concert and crowd (I hope the lady stays in touch, she promised a dvd of the result ;)), and all you guys there too! I'll never forget the end where we were on top of the podium. The sight was awsum! 8) One very big special thank you to the Flying Baguettes, the Brethren, team JPC and ofcourse Beerman and Buurman for their hard work behind the beertap. I'm very pleased to say the evening brought € 1200,- for Doris' charity. It was great, really really great. Friday night made my 2006 Le Mans something never to forget. Thank you all!! Title: Re: DFH Post by: redstu on June 20, 2006, 12:05:45 am Hi Paddy
Just amazing. I've just added the link to all the photos from Janlammers.com below, the first link didn't work for me for some reason. http://www.janlammers.com/engels/XmlParser/index3.asp?xmlfile=racingforholland\fotogallery\gallery.xml&xslfile=racing-for-holland\fotogallery\more.xsl&id=93 However a javascript error seems to stop me getting a bigger picture. stu Title: Re: DFH Post by: chrisbeatty on June 20, 2006, 03:43:08 am It started off for Roy, Marius and me driven up and down from our campsite for a flash-visit to the RfH-pitbox with VIP treatment. You know what the best thing is guys?? After the race myself & a buddy always wander round the paddock for an hour or two. Guess what t-shirt Jan changed into after the race?? Yup you guessed it, the exact same one you gave him!! :o He was tucking into some food in the RfH hospitality, we left him to it but I did think the top looked unlike any of the rest of the team!! Title: Re: DFH Post by: wishy on June 20, 2006, 09:12:51 am What an accolade...........Pictures on Jan Lammers website,4 TV crews queueing up to film the antics of DFH...........and........maybe next year the Drivers Parade!!!!!!! ;D

Friday night was amazing indeed. We've managed to empty eleven barrels that night, nearly half the stock! :o See you all next year or perhaps at the Nurburgring or Sebring! Title: Re: DFH Post by: Piglet on June 20, 2006, 10:55:33 am You guys were awesome ;D More to follow plus some video.....
Title: Re: DFH Post by: Barry on June 20, 2006, 12:36:39 pm What can I say, Friday night was an awesome party, thankyou DFH, and everybody else who helped with the festivities.
One day when I hang up my LM ticket holder because I am to old and infirm to go, I will remember that night as one of the highlights of my visits to La Sarthe. Respect and thanks to the amazing Paddy and the DFH crew. 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) Title: Re: DFH Post by: EZeemering on June 20, 2006, 01:45:54 pm Thank you too, RedStu! Think we'll need some more next year :)
And it was really good to find out how much was given for Doris' charity. Title: Re: DFH Post by: Petra on June 20, 2006, 02:02:09 pm I really had a great time at my first ever LeMans. That wasn't just down to the rest of DfH but also the fun I had with a lot of people from Club Arnage, especially the boys from team JPC and offcourse babyface Cutler and his friends and family. The T.W.A.T.S. were good fun as well on saturday night.
Title: Re: DFH Post by: termietermite on June 20, 2006, 02:29:55 pm Yeah, and a real treat to meet you lot too - see some of you for the Classic/DTMs maybe? :D
Title: Re: DFH Post by: Pieter on June 20, 2006, 07:47:07 pm I'll be at the Classic! See you there. And no, I don't have a band on Friday.

I think DFH deserve an EU grant, European Nation Harmony or stuff like that - worth a try! Thanks to all involved, JPC, The Brethren, and everyone else. Title: Re: DFH Post by: jc_nl on June 20, 2006, 09:37:45 pm Hearing how everybody has enjoyed the party is great!!!!
But do remember that all the people who were there made the party not just DfH!!! You all are a great bunch of people who have their hearts in a good place looking at the amount of money that was collected. I (.........well I think it is safe to say WE) hope you will be their again next year and see you then or at a track before that time. Title: Re: DFH Post by: Steve Pyro on June 20, 2006, 09:41:28 pm First class party on Friday night, big thanks to mine hosts DfH and Team JPC, the Brethrens fireworks and the Flying Baguettes.
It was great to see and chat to everyone, especially FS. Title: Re: DFH Post by: il Cavallino on June 21, 2006, 12:29:36 pm Thanks everyone for their compliments. But without all of you the party wouldn't have been the same. So everybody, thank you for coming and hopefully we'll see eachother next year at Le Mans or at another raceweekend before that. :)
Title: Re: DFH Post by: Kpy on June 21, 2006, 12:34:47 pm There was a really great atmosphere. Thanks so much to Paddy and all at DfH and to JPC and his team.
Fabulous evening. Title: Re: DFH Post by: Andy Zarse on June 21, 2006, 12:44:21 pm Thanks guys and gals, it was our pleasure to spend some time with the legend that is DfH and your absolutely amazing hospitality. There's nothing I can write here which can adequately express our appreciation and regard for your efforts in making Le Mans what it is, and indeed, what it has become over the last couple of years.
Regards and thanks to all from Team Zarse. Title: Re: DFH Post by: Pieter on June 21, 2006, 01:23:06 pm So Fran, tell us, when is your marriage planned for ;D I thought 2nd or 3rd weekend in June 2007 - somewhere in France - would need to be in a big field tho - I think Pieter proposed to several other people last week!! ::) Title: Re: DFH Post by: chop456 on June 21, 2006, 02:30:37 pm I'd also like to thank all of DfH, and specifically the two I met personally, Paddy_NL and Pieter (again). What an incredible setup, topped only by their kindness and generosity. A top notch operation across the board. We enjoyed your fireworks display from across the track.

They said the music was excellent and the table footie was good. Not to mention the beer.
Me and Chaos never made it back form Le Mans town centre. If you spotted two blokes with a megaphone, a saltire, a lot of bad singing some ceildh dancing, bagpipes, that would have been us. Nice to meet SmithA, I hope you didn't upset to many people at the christian refuge. Title: Re: DFH Post by: mal on June 21, 2006, 03:15:30 pm Thanks to Paddy and the DFH team for your amazing hospitality, and the provision of the stage and support for our guys concert

The CD burning microwave on thursday was a lovely touch too! 8) Also I wanted to thank Paddy and the DfH boys for letting me express my art that has been waiting since 1988 to be shown at Le Mans. I hope it lasts for next years camp set up! Thanks again all! Now that the US is out of the Cup its HUP HOLLAND BABY! ;D

If so, maybe you should take a look at the Holland letters because they seemed to be coming of in the last few days. Maybe they need some glue. |
