MAYDAY,  MAYDAY! - To all Club Arnage members traveling to Le Mans

To cut a *very* long story short, our beloved Grand Fromage (aka
Dave Davies) is  stranded in Sees,  on N138 just north of Alencon.
(approx 40 miles north of Le Mans)

If anyone is passing Sees tomorrow Monday (June 12) afternoon,

However, Just spoke to JPC,  He's stopped with a Ceased Alternator so will miss the Boat.
He will call the Liverpool boys to see if they can help.

Great Cheese certainly will have to get here by tomorrow - its just that *I* thought I had a nice car breakdown story to tell (no clutch since Belgium), but evidently,  Grand Fromage always feels the need to top my stories :-)

I cannot even begin to tell - I think Dave should write a book - "Insult to Injury" - or something. (title is more appropriate that you'd think)

Tom, any update on Team JPC, I guess you'll be worried as Mark has the formulae for Tropicoma ;D

No,  I ask him to let me know if he gets a result.

Needless to say he was "just a tad" P1553D off with the breakdown.

To be honest Tropicoma is not what  I am thinking about or need right now.  (Though JPC may well benifit from it's calming effects.  ;D)

In all seriousness, there is a train link between Sees and Le Mans, so as a last resort he can hoof it on rail.

the rest are in the middle afternoon, I guess that would be too late.  Only 8.50 GBP, taxi or lift from the station, hope this helps.

or if he can meet you at scrutineering that will be fine, just leaves the car to be fixed and collected. surely the ACO members breakdown service can help here?

Just spoke with the Liverpool Boys - they are just getting on the overnight ferry so probably won't be able to help but they are sorry to hear the news!

JPC is waiting for the AA - apparently it will be about 2 hours!

Please keep us informed or else I'll worry all night!

I should think that they will have room being as there is just Brian, Ian and Jimmy in the Volvo estate.

They were literally just getting on the boat as I spoke to them - do you want me to send them a text with GF's contact number - I did tell them where he was stuck!

I just heard from JPC - he is keeping warm in his Team JPC fleece apparently and still waiting for the nice men in Yellow to come and take him and the Tropicoma recipe to a better place !

Just spoke to GF, he was unaware that Rick was going to pick him up so have passed that info on to him. Obviously he is still there, does he have Ricks number if not maybe someone who has it could pass it on?

I've spoken to Dave. Will pick him up this afternoon if he's still stranded.

I only have JPCs number and I think he is still in kip supprise supprise.

If I can get Ricks number I'll forward it if I can get it.

What a bag Shite this is turning in to.  I've just spoken to Rick.  He's broken down 200 Metres from the ferry.  :-(  So thats no joy.   Rick has spoken to GF.

Just to make this clear - I'm sorting GF out. Have spoken to him and the garage where the Volvo is. I'm taking him there to sort out what's to be done today.

No I saw that,  Last night JPC or Robbo SPS did talk to the Liveropool boys.  So they may not be aware of all of the happenings and thus be on the way to picking GF up.

But yes the current plan is Kpy to pick up GF.

As far as I know the Liverpool boys cannot pick GF up. I think he's spoken to them. But I'm having to completely change my route and plans to do this. I don't want to turn up and find GF not there because some kind soul has got there first!

No probs KPY can you or GF text me to let me know you've met up and so on.  Then I can update the thread.

Kpy is indeed picking up GF.  He will text me to say they have met up.

JPC is back in Basingstoke.  He will be on tonights ferry. 

Every cloud has a silver lining.  His daughter is singing in a Choir at school and now hes been able to go to that.

Now we can concentrate on looking forward to what looks to be a WET Le Mans ? - thunderstorms forecasted for saturday and sunday (!)

With 42C measured in the region yesterday, the water is going
to be welcome, - but I think not so much among the drivers.
