Title: Stella Bar Open or Shut
Post by: Stu on June 09, 2006, 01:56:41 pm
As I may have missed it, is the Stella Bar still open then as there was a thread about its demise not so long ago.

That's actually a good question. If I remember it correctly the closure of the Stella Bar was connected to the construction of the new tram line.

The tram line is being diverted behind the Stella Bar and alongside the Mulsanne so I doubt it will ever close. They said during the pre-quals that the passing trade is important to them aswell.

Had the usual 12 euro 3-course meal there on Sunday.  Alive and cooking.

I have been putting in a small amount of cycle training for this one on wednesday night - I swear it is all uphill fro, MB/Bleu apart fro, the last bit which i didnt trust to my brakes!  Sadly my 10 quid bike seems to have lost a couple more gears - and it only had 4 and a half to start with.  No 1 is eerily silent while the others vary beteen a Panoz and a Magimix  :-\

Ah well its all downhill on the way back from top of tetre rouge  ;D
