Title: Lord Buddha sends his wishes
Post by: Lord Buddha on June 01, 2006, 02:07:53 pm
Hi All

Been going to Le Mans for several years now, but never got into this great site much before - but now addicted.

I am looking for advice on most efficient beer drinking styles as I have an RSI to look after.

Arriving at MB Wednesday, so listen out for loud music and come over for beer.

See you there

....so listen out for loud music.....

I think that we can turn that around, what kind of equipment are you bringing? Got complaints last year that the other side of Karting Nord couldn't exactly understand the words of 'Le Mans' and 'the Italian job' when we played those at night. ;)

My choice for effort free drinking is to wear a shirt with a reasonable sized breast pocket.  Use this to hold your bottle or beer glass and connect to your mouth with a suitable length straw or piece of clear tubing.

I've got one of those hats where you fit two bottles on the sides and drink directly through a straw. I bought it in the 1980's  Jag days, they were all the rage back then, particularly with the Germans.

Gentlemen - your welcome and advice are superb!

We bring fairly serious music gear, but I know it is nothing compared to what some bring.  My highpoint was a couple of years ago when a guy asked me to turn 'Sympathy for the Devil' down at 03:45 hrs on race night.  My objection was in two parts.  1.  Please pay respect to the song.  2.  When I waited for that song to finish and then reduced the volume, I pointed out the roar of the GTII's in the background.  I offered a couple of words of advice and politely suggested he retreated to his tent.

Love your ideas for drinking styles.  I may not need a large pocket as I have ample man breasts.
