Isnt he trying to beat senna's winning total, Pole at Monaco is a huge advantage, cheating git, Alsonso was 3 tenths up and now gutted, Senna would have apprieciated it though.

The Monaco Grand Prix stewards have deleted all of Michael Schumacher's times in qualifying today, sending him to the back of the grid for tomorrow's race.

Deserved I must say, maybe one day he will learn to be happy with second best! You would think that  after so many wins he would just enjoy it out there!

The Schumacher parallel park was the only thing worthwhile during this F1 weekend. Uneventfull and very boring, I swithed over to the final of the Dutch hockey league which had a lot more excitement to offer!

Didn't see the race (did I miss anything?)  but saw footage of the Shue-puss stopping on the track)  This is a grown man, who's the all time leader in race wins and titles right?  What a f**k*ng childish, immature twat!
Reason number 2001 why I will never, ever rate this guy among the greats.  Could you imagine somone like Fangio, Clark or Stewart pulling a stunt like that?  Did he seriously think he was going to pull that off?  I'd be embarrassed to call myself a Schumacher fan.

The worst aspect is that he is (or at least was, cos I haven't seen him drive a great race in the last two years) talented enough to win without resorting to this kind of shoddy tactic. He's a flawed genius like Senna; good but he doesn't know when to stop. So he'll never be in my list of greats.

Yes Fax, the race was crap. I watched the start, went outside to change the oil in the Commer, then watched a bit more. I left it with ten laps to go and took the dog for a walk down the pub for some Le Mans practice.

Just adding another two cents.  Too cap it all he is also the President of the Grand Prix Drivers Association and with position like this you would of thought his conduct would have been better.

There've been some great remarks about this stunt on the internet.  I find it somwhat comical to call it cheating, cheating implies your doing something clever, this was the sort of antic you see from some teenager in Formula Ford.  Lets see, we've got the deliberate collisions with Hill and Villeneuve (not to mention the guided missle attack on Johnny Cecotto in the DTM), the swerves at every race, this stunt, etc.  Really classy guy, conduct truly worthy of sporting greatness ::)  Maybe he can issuse another press release about how much money he has and is donating to charity, that way we can all worship him and think he's a saint again...Yeeesh!

I'm with you all the way, but you can't take away the fact that he started 22nd and finished 5th - at Monaco too!

Mind you with his reputation I am not suprised, I would certainly be moving out of his way, before I am sunted out the way!!

I view Schumacher the same way I looked at Senna.  Never a shred of doubt about their talent as racing drivers, its the content of their character as men that I've always questioned.  You can win a hell of alot of races and championships, and make millions along the way, but how are you going to be remembered?  These two fall a long way down my list of all time greats.

Flawed character without a doubt, I've actually met him and had a bit of a lengthy chat, too.  Very charming, nice bloke.  Just a huge shame about the brain storms.  why oh why?

Maybe if the British drivers were a bit more ruthless like schumi they would have a chance of winning too?????

Enzo, why would you want to condone cheating, its not ruthless, its just downright cheating, the guy should be banned for life ?

I've never considered deliberately colliding with your opponents, or swerving at a driver trying to pass you, or stopping on the circuit to screw up your oppositions qualifying efforts ruthless.  Its called being a immature, undignified asshole who doesn't give a sh*t about his colleagues or the integrity of his chosen sport.

I don't condone cheating I'm just saying a ruthless streak sometimes gets results Senna is never mention in the same way as schumi yet he would have driven over his own mother to win a grand prix, The british nation as a whole are to good at there sporting manners and sense of fair play push the limits push the rules to breaking point.

Actually Senna gets mentioned a lot in the same manner as Schumacher.  Most experts believe that  Senna is largely responsible for the crap we see from the current crop of drivers.   If the FIA and the teams he drove for had put Senna's balls in a vice when he first started driving like a jerk then the younger drivers who saw him getting away with it would have had to behave differently (read: Schumacher)  As far as I'm concerned both Senna and Schumacher are (or in Senna's case was) total assholes.  Both have done more damage to the sport than good.

I'm right with you there, I hated Senna so much that I actually had a Mclaren t shirt embroidered in big bold letters ' Senna is  Tw*t' and for the next year had the word 'still' inserted onto the shirt.

Agreed. Senna used to seriously piss me off. There was no need for him to do what he often did, he was a good enough driver already. Even when he did "that lap" at the Euro GP at Donnington I was willing him to spin off into the mud such was my hatred. Another deeply unpleasant flawed genius.
