Title: Bank Holiday Monday Racing
Post by: pretzel on April 15, 2006, 01:14:33 am
For those of you at a loose end on Monday may I recommend going to Castle Combe, full grids of cars from the sixties and seventies, including an endurance event, along with very competitive FF1600 and local saloon car championships.

The '60's and '70's stuff is as close as you will get to the Goodwood experience without the high prices or the need to get dressed up.

I have no affiliation with the organisers - just posting this as a true enthusiast of real club racing.

Go on - you know it makes sense.....

Didn't see much of the CA shirts eh Rick - too bl**dy cold for that.... anyway we knew who was who.

Still, it was a good day's racing for those of us old enough to remember most of the cars on the grid (no names eh Wishy  ;)

Don't forget to PM me yor address and I'll pop a Sebring DVD in the post as agreed.

Had a brill present from the family.....one of those track day thingys......might just be able to drive a proper car for a few laps round Goodwood!!!!

"Inside lane as you were turning left" Not literally I hope!
Just dropped my daughter off at the college, finally got to take the Hardtop off and stow it for the summer - guaranteed to bring out the last frosts and snow!

Should have added 'of the roundabout'

Please don't mention frost and snow, I've just got the bike out of hibernation.
I can't even give it a good hose down if it gets salty, cos they have banned hosepipes, and it's raining. :o
The Victorians bulit canels the length and breadth of England, and the waterboards can't even get water from the north down to the south in 2006. Progress or what? :o

Oi - you southerners keep yer hands off our water, we have to put up with it pi**ing down 11 months of the year so at least we should be able to wash our cars properly and fill up the paddling pool for the 2 weeks it isnt raining!

 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

If I read the restrictions correctly are still allowed to fill up our paddling pools with a hose, also a waterbutt, which we can then attach a hose to, and use ???
