Title: Parking Post by: qwertyford on April 05, 2006, 01:26:21 am Hi, I just wanted to ask the situation on parking at le mans. Is it plentiful, is it safe, do people normally just leave their cars in a car park and get shuttle into the track or what. I am a le mans virgin and have no clue.
The reason I ask is because a group of 4 of us are hoping to travel down and are having trouble finding camping passes. We want to take two cars so was wondering is it perfectly fine for us to travel down in two cars then for my buddy to leave his car in the car park for the weekend and just pile into my car, negating the need for two camping passes. Any advice is appreciated. Thanx in advance. I'm soooo excited. Regards, Tony. I guess they are as safe as any car park at these events - depends what you leave there of course. Not sure about Parking Vert , but you buy Parking Blue tickets on the gate. Shuttles are a bit optimistic - there is a bus that goes down to Arnage corner but long ques and quite infrequent - take your walking boots.
You'll have a blast. Title: Re: Parking Post by: Fran on April 05, 2006, 08:29:15 am You will get camping passes on the other thread easily - just wait for everyone to wake up.
For my money i would just get 2 camping passes and save the messing about and worrying about going to check on your car if its parked away from your tent! The difference in price split between 4 of you shouldnt break the bank. Thats my pennyworth for you! And I agree with IRW - you are in for a great time - you can only lose your virginity once! ;D Title: Re: Parking Post by: redstu on April 05, 2006, 08:52:26 am Are there no passes available for Beausejour direct from ACO, its such a massive site that I'd be very suprised if it sold out.
As Fran says passes will be available from the forum nearer to the date, or you could put some French plates on your car and park anywhere you like! (well not quite). |
