Just as well that he didn't see this the night before the op! Title: Re: Perdu's Knee op Post by: Lorry on February 02, 2006, 01:42:05 am The mother in law had one of these, and she's even more barmy than before. I hope its not an after effect.
I saw this operation on the telly years ago. The power tools those surgeons have are incredible. Get well soon/before June Title: Re: Perdu's Knee op Post by: Paddy_NL on February 02, 2006, 12:17:45 pm Get well soon/before June I copy that :)Title: Re: Perdu's Knee op Post by: jpchenet on February 02, 2006, 12:21:06 pm Indeed, Get Well Bill!!!!

Thanks for the getwellsoonings, all in hand, no worries! Gary what are you doing showing that stuff to the innocents in here, orta be ashamed... Doris, ever since I was a boy I have always adhered strictly to "I'll show you mine, if you show me yours!" No problems there ;) How's the head? Need it warming yet? Slight problem, I am not allowed to drive for six weeks which I think is a little excessive, however, we will survive. Poo Bar (if they build us one!) is not a problem... C U all soon. Not long 'til June, February already Title: Re: Perdu's Knee op Post by: Doris on February 06, 2006, 01:31:14 am Doris, ever since I was a boy I have always adhered strictly to "I'll show you mine, if you show me yours!" No problems there ;) How's the head? Need it warming yet? That's good to hear. Inspections in June then! ;) The head has been a bit chilly this week. I really did choose the wrong time to do this. Strangely though (or maybe not for those who know me quite well) I actually quite like it and might keep it like this for a while - well until June at least. ;D Concentrate on getting that knee right. I screwed mine playing Netball a few years ago - OUCH!!! Title: Re: Perdu's Knee op Post by: Bob U on February 06, 2006, 01:00:21 pm Glad to hear you are recovering well Bill.
We are all big strong lads we can give you a piggyback to the poo bar if need be, can't guarentee the return journey though. Bit of a stagger I suspect. Title: Re: Perdu's Knee op Post by: Perdu on February 06, 2006, 11:31:26 pm Walking at the poo bar aint gonna be a problem. I have a very high "selfish basta***d" rating, if it matters I WILL make it happen.
I've already shocked my physio with 104° knee movement 4½ days after the operation. Trust me I'll be there. Doris, it's a deal honey. :D Thanks all. Title: Re: Perdu's Knee op Post by: Robbo SPS on February 07, 2006, 05:11:20 pm Hi Bill.
I had my knee re-built 4 1/2 years back now, at considerable cost to the UK tax payer. I was playing football within 6 months. Within 3 months you'll be walking again. Dont worry about the driving. I struggled to have any power in my left leg for a while so i didnt try to drive. I still have my MRI scna photo's to show the damage i did to the knee. Makes interesting reading Title: Re: Perdu's Knee op Post by: Perdu on February 07, 2006, 06:34:38 pm Hi Bill. I had my knee re-built 4 1/2 years back now, at considerable cost to the UK tax payer. I am already walking "with" sticks when the guvner is watching me and on occasion i.e bog to washroom for handcleaning, without 'em. I don't want mucky germs tranferring off the sticks to the wound... As I said High selfish bast**rd rating! I saw the pictures they took inside before last years arthroscopy... not enticing! |
