Club Arnage

2005 saw the formation of Team Razor and it’s first expedition to the promised land of cars, beer and fun!  The Team contained five (on the cusp of graduating) students with a mighty Landrover 110 for transport!  Tickets were sourced late leaving Beausejour as the camp site of choice.  Information was gained that this left large distances to travel to and bicycles were advised. 

5 men, 5 bicycles, a tent and beer do not easily fit into a Landrover. 

The bikes had to go!

A feasibility study was then commissioned into acquiring suitable transport. 
Light enough to carry?
Fit within the constraints of the Landrover?
Easy to operate when under the influence of intoxicating liquids?
Legal?
Cheap?
Faster than walking?

All manner of options were examined and re-examined before the solution, the Holy Grail, was found!

Micro-Scooters!  Usually seen on the walk to school in expert control of the under 10’s, this was the perfect solution.  A deal was quickly negotiated and 5 were purchased from a well known high street store.  The model in question?  The Razor!

With everything packed and spirits high the Team set off for Le Mans via Portsmouth and St. Malo.

Months later, video footage shot by a documentary crew was found.  The resultant film contains evidence of the cross fertilisation of beer, Le Mans and micro-scooters.

I was slightly disturbed at the scenes of pre-fabricated and masticked sections of beer mountain tho... perhaps that is something you can work on over the winter before next year!  ;)

VERY well done!

Now I have two to watch when I am feeling low, the film we had from Martyn Hoyer (someones brother, can't remember who sorry) which was excellent, I have shown it to loads of people though some have said they don't really need to see it again?? and this latest one from Team Razor. Well done guys. The whole thing makes winter evenings a bit more bearable.

Martyn Hoyer is Mike Hoyer's brother (10/10's poster and snapper) - I've lost the link to that one and I don't think I ever saw it all the way through. 

edited to say I've found Martyn's video...they don't help...it's like being homesick  :(

This reminded me that there was talk of a DVD copy of the Hoyer video on another thread that seemed to die a death. I'd love to see this one but do not (as yet) have access to broadband).

Anyone got a copy they can let me have????
