I took a gamble on these date and booked the ferry a couple of months ago, PHEEWWW 8).

The've also got the British round of the LMES down for Donnington instead of Silverstone next year. Dosn't it always rain at Donnington?

Took the same gamble Bob, it's great when it works out ;D ;D.

Donnington is on the Bank Holiday Sunday, so rain is almost guaranteed. :(
The bike racers also reckon that you get a film of aviation fuel on the track from East Midlands airport. ;D ;D

As the dates are there I'll start working on ferries for the campervan. Would be fun to have that at trackside ;D

So you'll be missing the Festival of Speed and some big football tournament final as well.

Booked my ferry yesterday....P & O Dover - Calais minibus based on 9 people....£70 return!! www.directferries.co.uk

Little tip for you, when filling in the online booking form if you are missing info such as vehicle type or peoples names you can just type "TBA" and let P & O know later on.

I did this last year and forgot to advise P&O and turned up with 2 Mr A.N. Other in the car. Straight through immigration, so much for port security

It is usually a week or two after Le Mans, but dates for next year were announced by Goodwood on 1st November (last week). The LM Classic dates were announced in February of this year.
Spot the guilty party!!

Ah well, at least this means that i can stop worrying about getting out to France for 24LM, back for Goodwood and back out to LM Classic.....    ::)

Now i have the Classic / Nurburgring 1000 kms debate.   ???

Eventually you'll run out of weekends if all great venues are supposed to be in June, I mean, how can you plan both Nurburgring and Le Mans 24 hour races at the same weekend ???

That bl00dy Eclestone to blame again, with his S'stone act on the 11th of June! >:(

And you'll have the historic celebration of the 100 year anniversary of the ACO the 11th.June with edwardian cars, sports cars from the 1900' years and the recreation of the first circuit de la Sarthe (Le Mans, St Calais, La Ferte Bernard) So no need to return home between PQ and THE RACE !!!

Looks like the ALMS did a good job of scheduling around Le Mans so their teams don't have to break their necks to get over & back.  Mid-Ohio May 21 and then a five week gap until July 1 at Lime Rock.  For those coming over for Sebring its March 18.  Get your flights booked now!
Fax
