Well for the sake of footie in the norfeast I hope the git tries harder for youse than he did for England in the last three competitions he's been in.

If he has an off day it takes him three weeks to get over it and I think I am being generous here.

It is pi**ing me off that my club seem about to lose Solano because of him....

B*gger Liverpool and Newcastle, I say.

So what happens when Newcastle get relegated? Sorry, I should say if they get relegated. Depends if they get rid of Souness! And dont say that they are too good for the drop. Remember Forest?

Although on the surface of it, the purchase of Owen looks a good one, I think that it's a last gasp effort to keep Souness his job.

By the way. I would just like to Thank the Toon Army for Mr Jenas :D

Give MO a season in black & white and he will be off, he stated that he wanted to go to Liverpool. Trouble was he couldn't risk not getting a move and had to take second (not sure if it is even that) best to make sure he got regular football.

As I say one season and he will be looking elsewhere. Best thing was when asked he stated he signed a four year deal and hoped that the toon enjoyed seeing him play for those four years, what he didn't say was it wouldn't be in the black & white  ;D

Most expensive loan deal ever!!

PS.. I am not bitter!

Bill

Don't tell me you're a villa man as well! No doubt you recall our great Dutch adventure in 1982? And the Supercup too. A great side in those days, Peter Withe and Gordon Cowans are still two of my heros.

Andy & Bill

Don't mourn the passing of Mr Solano to long, Haven't you got James Milner in return. When he was at Leeds he was class, hope he can do a job for you.
I believe you have also taken Eirik Bakke on loan. wanr anymore Leeds old boys ;). How about Peter Ridsdale instead of Deadly Doug? :P

Andy, Sid has been one of my heroes for years and when I was an AAMan I had the pleasure of fixing his wife's Escort's steering lock problem at their home. And then while we were thrashing a Yorkshire club at Wembley in '96  we had a fifteen minute chat at the back of the stand during the game surrounded by loads of my other heroes. Gary Shaw chatted for a couple of minutes too (We were stood in everyone's way at the top of the staircase. Oh yes, Sid started by telling me that he had got rid of the Ford!)

Milner seems a reasonable bet but I will miss Nobby. But we really lost him when the L'poolers asked to speak to him...

Oh no, no more deadwood to go with the "deadly" wood we still have hanging over us....

I still think it's going to be hard work for the 'toons to get a season of real work out of Owen, sublime skill allied to an idle brain. (Tears>bedtime I think)

 ;D

Savo Milosovich did it as I remember Whitey!

Bill, Sid was a pal of my grandad, they used to play golf together. I once caddied for him whilst my brother caddied for Jimmy Rimmer. I have a photo of my grandad holding the European Cup with Sid and Brian Little and it's on my wall at home to this day. Sid brought the cup round the house to show us too.
