Don't know if we're gonna stay at the camping site, but here's the link anyway>> http://www.camping-am-nuerburgring.de/index.html Title: Re: LMES The ring who's going? Post by: keithk on August 16, 2005, 01:34:36 pm Hmmmm got me thinking about this one Any ideas how long is the drive is to get there? From Calais about six or seven hours its Spa plus another couple of hours its an OK drive just take your time... Title: Re: LMES The ring who's going? Post by: rcutler on August 16, 2005, 01:47:27 pm Would be interested but have to car share and keep costs right down.

I've done Frankfurt (a further 100 miles I think) in a fairly consistent 4.5 hours on a Sunday, bit longer coming back during a weekday. Frankfurt was 386 miles from Calais IIRC. Title: Re: LMES The ring who's going? Post by: smokie on August 16, 2005, 03:38:01 pm Mappy says it's 295 miles, 4h 35m. http://tinyurl.com/adku9
Some of that is de-restricted of course :o Title: Re: LMES The ring who's going? So the ring is 4hr 30min at the most. ;) Hardly my favourite circuit, though. Title: Re: LMES The ring who's going? Post by: Lorry on August 16, 2005, 04:48:50 pm This looks difficult, as most of the rest of the team seem to be away, but has to be worth a try, especially as I missed Silverstone.
How many hours is it from Calais? Title: Re: LMES The ring who's going? Title: Re: LMES The ring who's going? Post by: knetter on August 16, 2005, 05:16:31 pm Shame, can't make it, I'll be enjoying the warm sun at the garda lake, hopefully. Maybe visiting the formula 1 grand prix at monza, but unlikely.
Title: Re: LMES The ring who's going? Post by: Stranger on August 16, 2005, 08:00:58 pm 99% chance of me being there!
And since there was a 99% chance of me being at Silverstone... :D Paddy, bring the T5! :) Title: Re: LMES The ring who's going? Post by: Bob U on August 16, 2005, 08:19:24 pm Hi Stranger. Don't forget to take your wet weather gear to the ring. I've never seen anyone look as wet as you did when you turned up at Silverstone. What is it with you Dutch guys, I never heard you moan about it once. Us English folk are always complaining about the climate here. Big respect to you for not giving a sh*t about the weather and getting on with your photography, look forward to seeing them sometime.
