Can't see that many differences compared to the old version, or is that me?

well Rick, if you run Windows, it probably needed that anyway :-)

After a rather long upgrade (needed to go through 4 separate updates) we're now on the newest (stable) release, which should take care of most of the reported weird behaviour.

I'm interested in hearing what you people think of this new forum softwarek, even if it resembles the old one very much (same people, new name)

A lot of changes to the admin interface and database structure, but no so many on the user-side.

Regards

Lennart / Djet

Hmm, yes. I can see the cars underneath the nick have been replaced by golden stars. So how many JPC-polo's did you guys use for that?

It looks weird and seems to take a lot more scrolling. I'm sure we'll get used to it  ;)

Well, that's pretty normal, aint it? I remember an update on formula1 forum (Dutch), and behind the scenes a brand new world was revealed.
Let's hop Smokie doesn't get all confused now ;D

Lennart, How about switching to the SMF default and loading up the arcade for the winter months?

I cant see much change, the icons look sharper as well as other things mentioned, but to say thank you Lennart, a Beer or three is in order.

I dunno, I wasn't even expecting it when "deification" happened to me, one minute good old Bill, next minute hidden yabbgodheadness.

8)

I like this new version  but things that are the same ARE different too.

I like being able to login at the bottom of each page when "scrolling - uncommitted" too! very useful. The shortcut keys are going to be used a lot too.

Thanks Lennart and the moderators all.

I'm sure we will all be very used to this within a day or so....

when of the key new features i really like doing is examining the members statistics. Nothing weird there then ;D

Someone mentioned somewhere that they preferred the old cars to the stars under your name.

Lennart doesn't have the gif of the cars but if someone can mail me a suitable gif then he will see whether he can change it. I guess the size of the gif is important...in that it should be downsizable to a very small picture!

However he is going on vacation for a week or so, wisely without the internet.

You can change the theme in your profile under the layout options. It can be classic or the new SMF theme.

Agree, it seems you are the daddy at the moment ' time on line wise ' 5 hours!

The male to female ratio 13 to 1, no suprise i guess nor is the spike in the figures each may & june. Good stuff.

Crikey, it also tell you if someone else posts on the same thread while you are typing.

I guess the size of the gif is important...

So let me get this right... now you are saying that size IS important Smokie?

Impressive abilities for a quotes virgin (quotes)...

Re size - did I ever suggest otherwise  ???  :-* ???

I see there is a button in the profile area to "show general statistics for this member"   :o  :o

I think this forum is going downhill rapidly
