Title: business as usual........ Post by: monkey on July 07, 2005, 02:44:49 pm I was so thrilled with London’s win yesterday I decided to go to London this weekend, and I still am……………..it will take a good deal more than a few stinking little terrorists to stop me from visiting old London town……….who knows, perhaps I will see a few of you up there too.
Title: Re:business as usual........ Post by: chrisbeatty on July 07, 2005, 03:06:42 pm Very true monkey I'm heading down there for the REM gig in Hyde Park, you've got to enjoy yourself & not let it effect your life. ;D
If it does the terrorists will have achieved their aims! Title: Re:business as usual........ Post by: monkey on July 07, 2005, 03:11:10 pm REM should be a bloody good show, wonder if I can still get a ticket, have a great time!!!!!!!!!!

All West End theatres are closed tonight too. It would seem the low life scum are succeeding in terrorising the people of London. I think vigilance and observation are needed, not knee jerk panic and headless chicken type reactions. We are advised not to make journeys that are not necessary. I for one shall be trying to make my way into work tomorrow - totally necessary if we want to send the right message to these t@ssers. Title: Re:business as usual........ Post by: smokie on July 07, 2005, 09:59:04 pm Yes, that's right. many concerts cancelled over the coming days. All West End theatres are closed tonight too. It would seem the low life scum are succeeding in terrorising the people of London. It's not that they are succeeding. It's that key people have not been able to get to work, or get home afterwards. So stages & sets haven't been finished. Also, while I am all for "business as usual" approach, I think it is equally important to heed official requests to not travel, as at times like this there are usually very good reasons for them to ask. Like shortage of key workers, or resources requiring re-direction towards rescue or other effort. Apparently the cellphone networks went out today not because the authorities wanted to stop panic, but because the emergency services needed them. As for travelling in London tomorrow, I suspect it won't be easy until they have got the trains back into the right places etc. Title: Re:business as usual........ Post by: Chris (Liverpool Boys) on July 11, 2005, 10:23:19 am I think also with bombings in the UK in general we have all been there done that and got the t-shirt courtesy of the NI Problems, so people will get back to normal a lot quicker.
