Title: Re:Tips on BSJ ? Post by: Bobblehat on June 09, 2005, 10:23:55 pm Hi Douglas
Have a look in the help section. Its a big bit of green grass not far from the "Porker Curves" but a long walk from Village Bobblehat Racing will be there, drop by. It would of helped if I look at wich section I was typing in THIS IS THE HELP SECTION Getting too excited to read! Title: Re:Tips on BSJ ? Post by: BrickWC on June 09, 2005, 10:34:05 pm Hi Douglas
BSJ, as Bobblehat says is a long way from the village. A free bus service runs every 10-15 minutes during the race to shuttle you to and fro. I walked it in 25 minutes last year. Porker curves is only a short walk away. This is my third year on BSJ, so far I have only met good people there. Last year we were pitched up next to Bobblehat and his crew. Just watch out for Tom d-g and his exploding microwave!

Saw Tom at the 'pre-planning' do in Wokingham. He is already trying new ideas in the microwave. We will also have a supply of smoke bombs with us this year. As you say see next week! ;D Title: Re:Tips on BSJ ? Post by: Andy Zarse on June 09, 2005, 10:50:11 pm I misread the title of this threadand got quite exited for a moment. :(
Title: Re:Tips on BSJ ? Post by: Paddy_NL on June 09, 2005, 11:04:47 pm We lost our virginity there last year, it might still be lying around if the pikies haven't nicked it :-\
For a few photo impressions go to http://www.drinkingforholland.nl/fotoos/Le%20Mans%202004%20gallery/index.htm :) Have fun there, one of the few sites where you can have a decent sleep during the night (I didn't, I slept at Porsche from 6 to 9 :)) Title: Re:Tips on BSJ ? Post by: RichUK on June 09, 2005, 11:43:04 pm Team Kuntari will be once more holding court in BSJ this year.
Title: Re:Tips on BSJ ? Post by: Jay (Team Cannonball) on June 10, 2005, 11:13:01 am My motley crew will also be on site from Thursday. Look out for the Grey Alfa with the saltire and aston flags. May also be accompanied with a drunk Glaswegian and his megaphone. I was going to say his large horn but i have learned to not on this forum.
Title: Re:Tips on BSJ ? Post by: Bobblehat on June 10, 2005, 12:49:51 pm To put this thread on a diffrent tack,
Bobblehat Racing will be heading for the 2nd field. So as you come in from the road with the Track on your right, keep on the road and turn right after the row of trees/bushes. We are aiming to get to the bottom corner. We should be setting up on Wednesday afternoon. If any fellow CAer's who are getting there on wednesday/thursday would like to head in that direction, we will try to leave some space for you all. But there is a warning: as Tom D-G has offerd to mark out our pitch for us if he gets there first (we will do the same if we get there first), he will be trying to blow things up in microwaves and firing lasers, if you wish to be that close, nothing major happend last year, and the scaring has nearly all gone:o but then again we could be some were completly differnt thats Le Mans for you!!!!!! :P Title: Re:Tips on BSJ ? Post by: Neal on June 10, 2005, 12:52:30 pm Bobblehat
Myself and the other 5 are arriving Wed afternoon as well, we will head in your direction, if that is OK Tom D-G hopefully will have my CA shirt with him 8) Title: Re:Tips on BSJ ? Post by: Jay (Team Cannonball) on June 10, 2005, 12:58:43 pm Hey Bobblehat,
We are also arriving on Thursday afternoon, (4 of us in one car). Tom also should have a couple of tee shirts for me. If we could all camp in the same vicinity that would be cool. It would be like a mini CA metropolis. As for microwaves and lasers, bring it on, i am officially qualified to operate class 4 lasers and my cohort is doing a PhD on burning things. Oh to be a scientist. J Title: Re:Tips on BSJ ? Post by: Bobblehat on June 10, 2005, 01:15:55 pm I have this fealing that there might not be a lot of BSJ left by Monday morning
Title: Re:Tips on BSJ ? Post by: Lorry on June 10, 2005, 03:18:22 pm As for microwaves and lasers, bring it on, i am officially qualified to operate class 4 lasers and my cohort is doing a PhD on burning things. Whats a class 4 laser - are we talking James Bond? and everybody I've ever met at Le Mans is an expert on burning things, usually cows, pigs, trees tents etcTitle: Re:money Post by: Jay (Team Cannonball) on June 10, 2005, 04:00:37 pm A class 4 laser.
Hmmm, well your CD player has a class 1a. Anything higher than that and its starts to get a little dangerous. My laser is a UV jobby, so not only do i risk blinding myself, but also i can get a nice dose of skin cancer if i'm not careful. http://www.jklasers.com/HeNe/Laser_10_Bright_Beam_Big.JPG Not mine, but also a class 4. Title: Re:Tips on BSJ ? Post by: Jay (Team Cannonball) on June 10, 2005, 04:02:14 pm I posted the answer by mistake in the "money thread". I am so excited i am posting all over the show.
Fixed for you Jay by your ever-so-hard working moderator. I hope you are able to control your output a little better at other exciting times ;-). smokie Title: Re:money Post by: Lawnmower Man on June 12, 2005, 01:41:37 pm A class 4 laser. Now I recon thats just what we need. That should keep the Pikies away and if it doesn't it should cut the little Bu**gers in half. :-)http://www.jklasers.com/HeNe/Laser_10_Bright_Beam_Big.JPG Not mine, but also a class 4. I think we'll try to save as much space as we can for CA. t. Title: Re:Tips on BSJ ? Post by: smuudge on June 12, 2005, 05:32:16 pm We are in BSJ this year in a 6 birth motor home. Look out for 5 daft looking fellas on mini petrol scooters and matching black T- Shirts with BHP Racing Logos...should be a laugh.....arriving Wednesday morning, so hoping for a substantial pitch this year!

Post by: Jay (Team Cannonball) on June 12, 2005, 06:42:14 pm Merci Monsieur Smokie, i will try to control my output when excited. In emergencies feel free to batter me with a stick, if i become over excitable.
Tom, Whitey, Bobblehat look forward to meeting you. The Cannonball rolls on Wednesday, arriving Thurs 4 ish. Title: Re:Tips on BSJ ? Post by: smuudge on June 12, 2005, 09:36:55 pm DB...

You will have to have a chat with Richard (Colnel Laser) he is working at the Dimond Light project (no its nothing to do with strong cider) I understand that that is one very large laser! |
