Title: ACO stuff.
Post by: Nobby Diesel on June 06, 2005, 03:00:58 pm
OK, so my ACO membership arrived on Saturday.
Nice letter (in English), nice stickers, informative Welcome to Club 24 flyer and little membership card.
But can someone tell me, what are the other 3 cards for?

Carte conjoint - I'm imagining this is for a guest ?

and then Bon de controle technique no 1 and no 2.

have I entered myself for the race by accident or something.

Also, what's the score with the ACO members enclosure at the top of the village? Can I take people in and is it of any real benefit or value?

Thanks in advance guys and girls.

OK, throw away the controle technique thing it's useless unless you want to make an appointment to have your car inspected in France this year.

Carte conjoint, give it to your wife but realise that if her car breaks down in France, she'll have a hell of a wait for assistance to arrive  ;)

ACO enclosure: Well that is not too bad, no very long lines and slightly cheaper and different food and drinks than anywhere else.
Furthermore an hourly update on the standings and various screens to watch the race.

Beware however, the ACO-enclosure has no airconditioning, when the ambient temperature is above 15C avoid it like the plague, it will be too damn hot.

Why would you want to avoid it like domething the dentist removes from your teeth?

ACO bar at the back of the g/stand wasn't a bar this weekend. Hope it is in time for next weekend...

Bogs were reliably clean tho (I  know, I used three separate ones during Sunday!), and no "little lady" to take your pfennigs...

It was laid out with tables and a screen - as though for a presentation. The corner which is usually the bar was just...well...part of the room. I hadn't realised it was just a temporary bar...
