Title: Apologies Post by: moped boy on June 03, 2005, 08:53:21 pm This is my attempt at an apology, mainly to Smokie, im sorry for any offence caused, i didnt mean it. i deeply, truly apologise. i just couldn't take any more 'jokes' Smokie im sorry for causing you to have to work more, sorry. i will hopefully be at the 'poo bar so i will take your ridicule then. i would have added this to the thread 'please stop offensive threads' but it was locked. i hope this will go some way to making amends, Smokie, if i haven't spent all my money by then i'll buy you a drink at the Poo bar. sorry again, Nick.
Title: Re:Apologies Post by: Stu on June 03, 2005, 08:57:47 pm Nice one Moped Boy. You'll need a bank loan though to buy a drink at the 'Poo Bar'. Obviously when they put up the prices they don't listen to Tony Blair harping on about stopping street crime.
Title: Re:Apologies Post by: Lawnmower Man on June 03, 2005, 09:02:11 pm Well done Moped boy.
Everyone goes though a some sort of P take at some time or another. The trick is don't bite. That just encourages those that are poking. See you at the poo bar by the sound of it. t. Title: Re:Apologies Post by: Mr. Invincible Mou on June 03, 2005, 09:06:09 pm As one of those who made some posts which may have irritated you, I too would like to apologise. Not only to yourself, but also smokie and to all the other forum members. I am sorry and will do my utmost not to do it again.
Tony. Title: Re:Apologies Post by: Robspot on June 03, 2005, 11:34:47 pm Good on ya MB. See you in Le Mans ;)

It does take a man to say it and we all respect someone that can take it as well as give it, so nice one. (I was a bit worried when you mentioned on the joke thread where he had found the Ferrari joke but it seems OK)
Congratulations on a little bit of growing up. Hope you get your insurance for the Moped and you can watch us all at the poo bar, OK? ::) (Oh oh, thassa joke, come in and join in!) :D bill Title: Re:Apologies Post by: moped boy on June 04, 2005, 09:19:57 pm Thanks every one, by the way, i've never experienced the poo bar, how many CA's will be there? and what do you generally get up to? Title: Re:Apologies Post by: Brad Zarse on June 05, 2005, 03:03:47 pm BTW Does anyone remember the Motor Bike that got tw**tED at the poo bar last year? The motorbike was a minor one wasnt it?? I stuck twat stickers over at least two bentley badges, and a fair few BMW's (the twats sticker is exactly BMW badge sized ;-) just make sure you dont stick those stickers to body work - i can envisage them being none too good for paintwork...... Title: Re:Apologies Post by: Nordic on June 05, 2005, 06:48:48 pm It may be better not to stick a twats sticker on anthing that don't belong to you (other than buildings etc) without checking first
Not everyone is going to see the 'funny side' if there is one. May sound boring but I would not want one stuck ANYWHERE on a car or bike etc that belonged to me thanks. Title: Re:Apologies Post by: moped boy on June 05, 2005, 09:12:44 pm i have the t-shirt for the poo bar, but i think i'll wear when we're buyin food and stuff incase any of you are there. really excited now, so close.

May sound boring but I would not want one stuck ANYWHERE on a car or bike etc that belonged to me thanks. Hence I added some caution to that post.... sticking things on cars in places that it will not do any damage, in my opinion is fine, and part and parcel of driving through the shampoo bar when theres a motor race on.... Suitable locations include windscreens, windows, and over the top of BMW badges.... Unsuitable locations include directly onto paintwork, and anywhere where if you had to scrub it it would cause a hassle..... I too would be most hacked off if someone stuck something to my car in a location that would damage it asthetically, but in an area such as the windscreen....well compared to the ACO campsite sticker, its likely to pale into insignificance..... Title: Re:Apologies Post by: Robbo SPS on June 05, 2005, 11:08:57 pm i have the t-shirt for the poo bar, but i think i'll wear when we're buyin food and stuff incase any of you are there. really excited now, so close. Title: Re:Apologies Post by: The Planman on June 06, 2005, 03:54:59 pm As one of those who made some posts which may have irritated you, I too would like to apologise. Title: Re:Apologies Post by: Neil on June 06, 2005, 05:21:46 pm As it looks like everyone is some how attached to this thread, and it's going forward into a poo night meet up, is this just a special CA drink meeting? Cos I was wondering if me and my stag team could also meet up at the Poo bar @ 21.00 for a drink as well as would love, sorry like to meet you all for a drink as well :-\

I think it's going to be even bigger than last year. Who's going to be sober enough to try to count how many are there? :-\ Title: Re:Apologies Post by: Andy Zarse on June 06, 2005, 05:28:13 pm Neil, seeing as you appear to be on CA, then yes, I would say you more than qualify!! Abnd your stag team will be welcome too. Have you got a CA teeshirt?
Title: Re:Apologies Post by: Neil on June 06, 2005, 05:33:43 pm No, we have special stag T-shirts that the groom doesn't know about yet, Even I don't know what they look like. But I did want a CA shirt but was to late to order them.

Title: Re:Apologies Post by: jpchenet on June 06, 2005, 06:03:34 pm I may have a spare as one of our team is looking doubtful. Let me know if you are interested. Is Paul still not too good?? Please pass him my best wishes!! Title: Re:Apologies Post by: Andy Zarse on June 06, 2005, 06:25:26 pm Unfortunately Paul is much better and will be there. :(
No, it's Dave, the drunken Irish aviator, whom you met in the pub before Sebring. Apparently they sacked a load of FO's at his cargo airline due to getting rid of the A300s. Then they suddenly get a big contract and find they are 16 pilots short, therefore everyone's roster is chocker. He may fly in to Tours on saturday but it's looking grim. Title: Re:Apologies Post by: BigH on June 06, 2005, 06:31:32 pm There's nothing worse than a grim looking roster.
You'd expect it to be a matter of opinion, but I'm afraid in this case the textbooks are all in agreement. A grim looking lobster's no picnic either, I can tell you! Title: Re:Apologies Post by: Steve Pyro on June 06, 2005, 06:44:55 pm A grim looking lobster's no picnic either, I can tell you! More like a full banquet, especially with that Marie Rose sauce! Title: Re:Apologies Post by: jpchenet on June 06, 2005, 08:38:34 pm Unfortunately Paul is much better and will be there. :( Excellent!!! I borrowed his spare "England" shirt last year for the footie. He hasn't got a spare Lions shirt he can bring has he?? ;D Title: Re:Apologies Post by: moped boy on June 06, 2005, 09:29:33 pm Can't wait to meet everyone. must get a CA t-shirt for next year. but the one i've got for this year should be good for a few laughs. ;D

I hope you and the rest of the CAers have a great time, and the weather's kind to you. David and I will have to limit our Le Mans experience this year to his GT4 game (he thrashes me every time >:( ) and what news we can get form the TV. :'( Hey Ho, only 53 weeks to go..... All the best Roy Title: Re:Apologies Post by: jpchenet on June 07, 2005, 12:43:46 am Hey Ho, only 53 weeks to go..... That's the spirit!!! Title: Re:Apologies Post by: Lorry on June 07, 2005, 06:29:16 pm Ask your father. I'm old enough to be his grandfather and I don't know - is it rude?Title: Re:Apologies Post by: Andy Zarse on June 07, 2005, 06:39:46 pm It is a club near the main railway station in town for "stressed-out executives" in need of some relaxation with "entertaining and comforting" female company. The ladies are of a very abiding disposition apparently.
I should imagine there are a goodly number chaps in need of relaxation over the weekend and as such the "facilities" might be expected to look like the proverbial "paper-hanger's bucket". Gilles is your expert on such local matters.
