I didn't know anything about it luckaly only that i'd seen it before and remembered it as it's so ugly! Title: Re:Down on the farm Post by: Dan Lowe on May 29, 2005, 10:44:10 pm Ermmm well I just had a quick scan over the Bristol site and noticed the price!!! (including VAT)..... £229,125 :o

Title: Re:Down on the farm Post by: Fran on May 29, 2005, 10:46:24 pm yes i had a look at the link too.... but found it hard to tell if it is a new car or sommat from the 70s/80s.
At that price i would kick the beetle outta the shed n cover up the bristol tho - and not just to hide its ugliness! Rural crimewaves n all that. F Title: Re:Down on the farm Post by: Mr. Invincible Mou on May 29, 2005, 11:22:24 pm It looks much better in Dune Buggy mode

Title: Re:Down on the farm Post by: Perdu on May 30, 2005, 02:21:26 am Bloody hell, will one of you rich buggers out there just buy me one of those, please?
Good taste? Who the hell promised good taste? I just want to lose my license with so much extra power in the engine bay that I just haven't used...... how the hell can anyone justify having one of them??? Even miserly Pugitts can go faster than my Little Midget but who cares ? how much extra fun can you get not driving anywhere near as fast as the car could go? OK change of mind, even if you are really rich, don't buy me one OK? I don't want it after all.... Frankly my dear I don't give a.... thingy! :P bill Title: Re:Down on the farm Post by: powermite on May 30, 2005, 09:58:51 am glad to see Bristol are still producing butt ugly cars.Does anybody actually buy one?
PM Title: Re:Down on the farm Post by: BigH on June 02, 2005, 08:56:34 am Yes indeed, a Bristol!
They're made to order apparently, and I think this is number 8, I'd be surprised if they've made double figures. I'm more sure about the cow sh*t, they've certainly made double figures. Title: Re:Down on the farm Post by: Matt Harper on June 03, 2005, 06:08:44 pm ....and there was me thinking that farmers were all piss-poor these days.
As ever, all about personal taste - but I can't figure why all these low-volume, 'bespoke' cars never quite look right. At first I scoffed at the suggestion that it was Corvette-like, but I stand corrected - the rear quarter panels are quite similar to those of a C5. I think I'd rather have a Viper SRT10 (from which this car gets it's motive power), being about a quarter of the price and much, much nicer looking in my view. I'd post a pic for comparison, except I don't know how..... Title: Re:Down on the farm Post by: jpchenet on June 03, 2005, 06:41:50 pm Try thsi!!

My Brother recently went to Vegas and decided to hire one for a day trip to the Grand Canyon. I always used to be a Ferrari fan (and still am) but I have to admit that side by side, the Viper is a good looking car. The guy who hired the Ferrari wished at the end of the day he had done the same as my Brother, especially as it was half the price :o (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/john.jfj.wheeler/docs/srt10.jpg) |
