Title: Flags and Stuff - IMPORTANT
Post by: Robbo SPS on May 11, 2005, 01:41:19 pm
The final cheque was lost in the post , and so a swift bank transfer has sorted the payment issue out.

They should be now printing as they have the dosh.

The shirts will be 2 weeks, which gives me a week to wrap and send out.

If anyone specifically wants to collect from Portsmouth Ferry Port on their way out or in Maison Blanche, please say on this thread.

Robbo, we are on the vomit comit sailing 0730 Sunday 12th, would that be to early for you, if not we can collect our flag and MB tape at the port. You could join us in a glass or two of the bubbly stuff while you are there.

tell me when Rm deliver it to your home and I 'll estimate if it worth the pain of an another expedition.

Couldn't be easier eventually to make them all deliver at Le Mans (I can receive them and stock them dry) and dispatch locally...

... BTW you probably all dream to erect your flag at the top of the ferry (This sentence may have a silly second signification but I'm too innocent to have an idea of this meaning)

LOL Gilles - any mention of "erecting your flag" is certain to make certain forum members (thats another one) sniggering.....

If you buy an Aston Martin flag (as I did today), you get a telescopic shaft so that you can erect it immediately!!! (steady Fran!!!! ;))

JP,

I was hoping someone might have news on Aston Martin flags.

So whats the damage for the Aston Flags then ?

Also out of curiosity, how do the UK prices for the Aston hats compare to what we paid at Sebring ?

Regards
Chris

JPC - that is just too mean!  :-X - how could u set me up like that.

F

p.s.  Wondering also whether chris24 is including the cost of the flight to sebring with the hat or not!  - could work out a bit pricey!  :)

Flags (including pole) were £15.

Hats were £20!!!  :o :o :o

Good old rip off Britain. IIRC, they were $24 at Sebring (circa £13)

They have all their stuff up on thier web site http://www.astonmartinracingcollection.co.uk/

Interestingly the flags are only £12.95 on there, but then you have P&P I suppose.

Just recieved an e-mail stating they will dispatch the flags on 30th may and they take 5 days, or upto.

That will mean 1st class delivery to the UK people only. Anyone foreign, away lots or leaving early WILL have to collect from either ME or JPC ( havent asked him yet, but he's a good egg ) in Le Mans.

Nice one Gilles ;D
Not too sure about the word "POOF" being used in anything relating to CA. After all we have to be able to trust those we share a campsite with.

The shirts and Polo's are in, at my house, just sorting them out and will try to get to the post office after i finish my set of nights.

Title: Re:Flags and Stuff - Update

OK, Decision time.

The POLO's and Shirts are being packed as i wake from my sleep.

The flags are to be shipped on 1st June 2005 asnd take 5 days to arrive at my house.

Therefore that leaves me with ONLY 1 week to get the packed and sent out. During that week i also have to work.

Therefore please can you all indicate when you are sailing out, from which port etc and which campsite you are in and i shall deliver. I WONT post as they could get lost and i havent the time to find replacements.

What i will try to do is give a few individually packaged to Brian Rick or JPChenet to hold for the earlier arrivals.

Sorry if thats not suitable or as you wanted it, but tough.

Smokie - Delivered to MB via JPC
Me - Delivered by Me - MB
Brian L'Pool - Ferry Port , Sunday AM
Gilles - Taken by JPC

Paddy NL - Taken by JPC to MB

Hi Robbo, I am going out from Dover on the Thursday morning and hope to be on site late Thursday afternoon. I am camping in HOUX. If you wish to get in contact, I will arrange what to do. I have the ticket numbers and the map, so I know where we are going to be, just not quite when due to always having an incident on the way down.

Cheers.

 Sailing from Portsmouth sunday 12th 15.30,  always have a pie & pint before checking in though,  normally use the Ship & Castle [pub nearest the oil tanks ;)]  but if you prefer can use the other one {forgotten the name}
That way you can leave them over the bar for me, just let me know which pub you'd rather ;)

They are here. I have them in my sweaty little hands, DHL were really good, even broke a few company rules to help the boys in blue  ;D

They look really good, are individually wrapped and have and eye grommit on the top and bottom of the left hand side.

I think you will all be VERY happy with the quality.

I am.
