Title: I guess I should introduce myself
Post by: RichUK on March 22, 2005, 10:38:19 pm
Hi

Rich here, former S2000 owner, current 350z owner, great passion of motor racing, discovered after my first visit to LM last year.

It's always great to meet like minded petrol heads!

Rich

Welcome to CA Rich, look forward to seeing more of your late night activities this year!!

It's really of little surprise that the 1st reply get a mention of the commer already, now where's that thread.... ;D

Hi Rich,

Once again welcome to the madness that is Club Arnage. You'll find that the Commer is held in more reverence by certain members on this forum than any other vehicle.

I am interested to know if you are the same Rich that posts on the 350Z forum. I am an expectant owner of the same vehicle (350Z that is, not Commer!), delivery for me due on 27th May.

Are you going as part of the organised group on that site, or travelling independently?

Hi, I am the one and the same RichUK from 350zuk, s2ki, pistonheads, you name it!

I don't post so much on 350zuk as I should  :-[

We went last year mainly as a group of S2000's, but the curse of Le Mans '04 has meant that most people have changed cars, so we know refer to ourselves as the famous 'K'.

You'll love the zed, what spec are you getting?

Some could say you guys are a bit mean to foreign members, Commer is not very well known to the rest of Europe. A bit like an ERF-lorry joining continental roads, they're pretty unknown here...

Anyway, welcome RichUK! Hope to see you on top of Eau Rouge in April :)

Hi Rich,

Standard car - no frills (well, with a few official accessories). Just a damn good driving machine. Have already driven a couple so know what I'm getting into.

Tried the S2000 but prefer torque over revs these days and in my brief experience the Zed is more controllable on the limit. Plus it looks better and is just that little bit different.  I' m changing from an Impreza Turbo that I have much enjoyed for 5 years so am looking forward to lots of RWD fun.

Hopefully we can meet for a beer sometime over the LM weekend?

Even after almost 16 months, I still get a huge smile every time I start her up.

A beer or two would be good  8)

With the greatest of respect Paddy, shame on you! Have you not seen this site:

http://www.commer.org/

These folk must be legends in Holland, what with their Commer based antics. The annual camp photo's show what a whacky time they have. I'm surprised there haven't been any arrests so far. I hear they're even sponsoring the RFH Dome.
