Cousin Pete has confirmed he'll be coming, so I'm looking for another MB camping ticket to spare him having to share a tent with the Snoring Rhinos!
please pm me if you have a spare,
many thanks
Ian

Ian, you do know you don't need a pass just for the tent, you need one per vehicle.
Not 100% certain but it looks ;like one of our cars may be dropping out. I'll know by the end of the weekend and if so, your name will be on it!!

I'm still looking for a MB ticket as well, pretty please! :'(

Thank you sir, Pete will be coming over on his bike, possibly with his lad on the Friday - if he can get leave from the RAF.

Ian, YHM!! :)

Many thanks Mr Chenet, bucks on there way down from Pete and to you.

Do you want me to send 'your' ticket directly to IRW - save posting it twice (when it arrives of course!!)? If so, I will need contact details.

Thansk for the offer Del, but Smokie lives round the corner from Ian so probably easier for one of those ones to go to him. :)
Cheers!

Uh? Do I have to do something?

Maybe ;D
No rush yet though........unless you already have the MB tickets ;)

Smokie - Might need to have a few beers in the Met yet!!
-
The Met has just changed hands this week. Not sure about the new landlord - met him once - he's an ex bookie. I'm usually there each Friday, and Sunday for the quiz. Oh, and every other Monday for the Crib league. Apart from that, I don't go in there much ::)
Was in the Frogs tonight. What a dump that place is turning in to. Just when you think it can't get any worse....they install one of those grab a toy machines to keep the kids amused (it's a pub, for gawd's sake), and we now have a smoking bar full of TV screens (stifling sensible conversation) and a non-smoking bar where families can eat (but it's a pub, for gawd's sake!!)
The Plough is looking positively welcoming, and the Ship is also on my list of pubs to try...
Anyway, whenever you fancy a beer (after 21 March that is) drop me a line...

The Frogs is certainty a log way from its heyday, used to get so packed the only way in and out was through the windows! when John Warner used to own it.
Surprised that John ?? has sold up the Met, maybe that. the Queens Head and the Emmbrook Tavern (aka The Thatch) were all a bit much the manage.
Crib Night at the Met with my mates Steve Lock, Zak and Roger.
Ever tried the Queens head on the Terrace? A bit of an extra trot for you but a good traditional pub with decent ale.
Any how we must get together at some stage to sink a few, especially after Sebring - full of envy of you lot going -even trying to get made redundant with a severence and some time whiich might just have ......... dream on!

I tried the Rifle Volunteer by Woosehill roundabout last year. The beers not bad and there's a garden at the rear. Plus they are part of the regional 'Aunt Sally' league which is a kind of skittles game (nothing to do with Worzel Gummidge).

And what exactly did you think Aunt Sally from Worzel Gummidge was supposed to be Steve??? ::)
Erm, Oh yeah, an Aunt Sally doll from the said game!!
-
Not at all, it was Una Stubbs, and I don't recall anyone throwing sticks at her ;)
-
Therer was a time she'd have been the recipient of my stick, but she's gone a bit Worzel herself lately...

Spent too much time with Patrick Mower on "Give Us A Clue"
All that pointing to your nose must have some effect eventually!

The Aunt Sally league has more to do with drinking than anything else; being a member of the 3 time league winners I have had plenty of hangovers to prove it. The league runs on Wednesday nights and the Rifle is indeed in the league as is the Met, the Queens head, Dog and Duck, The Elephant and Castle etc.
Its a good crack and not taken too seriously (by most), our team has a reputation for been most laid back, the captain is also a Le Manner and did make an appearance at the POO bar last year (rather short as still recovering from the effects of Mad Friday alcohol poisoning), the rest come from all walks of life - an Accountant (The Don), a Head Teacher, a Grave digger, Engineer, IT Consultant. I hold the record for consistently scoring the least pints in a season - every season!
League generally starts at the beginning of June and runs to the end of September. Then we have our end of season / xmas piss up - cant go back top Don Bennies or Sorrento's so were a bit late this (last) year........

And what's wrong with skittles (or Worzel Gummidge for that matter)?
Me and a few hundred thousand other folk live in Somerset where skittles is almost the 'National' sport!!!
So there!

Oui monsieur. Just got measured up for stripy t-shirt and beret.
Ferry booked (1-way) for 18th July - just long enough (I hope) to recover from a week in La Sarthe and to pack a few chattels.
