Title: TAPE TO DVD Post by: Ron Jeremy on January 30, 2005, 09:31:19 pm i want to put a video on to dvd
does any one here do that ?? if not does anyone know a reliable person/shop who could (preferably in the northwest) ??? :) Title: Re:TAPE TO DVD Post by: Paddy_NL on January 30, 2005, 11:20:35 pm Yes it's possible to record from video to dvd. I bought one of those dvd-recorders back in December, and it worked out pretty okay up 'till last week. Once again I was convinced by the salesman to buy Phillips, and once again there's regret. It broke down, like everything else from Philips seem to do once I've purchased it. >:(
But yes, it is possible. Just buy one of those dvd-recorders, preferrably another brand ;). Just simply hook up the scart-cable and start recording. Dunno about prices in the UK, in Euro's they start at about 200+. Title: Re:TAPE TO DVD Post by: pretzel on January 31, 2005, 02:38:15 pm Ron,
As Paddy_NL has already said you can hook up a video to a DVD recorder, as I have done. One thing to bear in mind is, as with DVD's, if it is an original copyrighted film then sometimes the encryption gets in the way. There are ways around this too - some websites sell software workarounds. All of the above is all very well if you are copying day in day out but if you only have one or 2 films then I could do it for you (I am located in South Wales though....) Another option if you want to avoid the hassle of postage, the possibility of lost in post etc. is to go to your nearest photo emporium - such as Jessops. They do this sort of thing. I wouldn't recommend this option for hardcore porn or incriminating photos of Iraqui civilian abuse though ;) Title: Re:TAPE TO DVD Post by: Ron Jeremy on January 31, 2005, 06:40:26 pm thanks i'll give it a go
