Little tip there; listen to BBC-R4 via LiveStream, that's what I do with 5-Live with an F1-race (Dutch commentator is oh so boring).

There's also a continious motorsport-radiostation via crash.net, excellent stuff!!

Thanks for the info Nordic.

Some (if not all) of the programmes have been transmitted before but it's good that they are all together.

Maybe I'll record the lot for potential distribution to those without access to BBC4. Anyone interested?

Also, if you have Eurosport, the Dakar Rally is showing daily for the next 10 days or so.  Updates throughout the day with a roundup at 21:30 GMT.

Colin McRae is driving again this year.

McRea was in the lead but is now tenth. For those of us that do not have Sky:-

If you dig very very deep you can find stuff on the bbc website.

Quote
Former world champion Colin McRae, who started the day with a lead of nearly five and a half minutes, crashed 80 km from the end of the special section and is out of the race.

The Scot was taken by helicopter to Zouerat but emerged standing up and organisers said there were no serious worries.

McCrash?

If you have recorded the programs tonight, are they on video or recorded to DVD. I would really like a copy of the Zanardi program and the Land speed record program on DVD if anyone has done so. The LSR program was excellent ! I taped them but will no doubt tape over them without realising some time in the future.

Chris24,

As there wasn't any interest shown here prior to the BBC4 broadcast I didn't bother to record all of the programmes. However, due to other personal committments I did record the one about the LSR. The recording is on hard disk and I usually transfer them on to DVD (-R) format.

I am running short of blank recordable DVD media at the moment but if you send me a blank I can copy it for you.

I will pm you my details.

I have the whole evening on video tape (long play) if anyone wants a lend?

Like the Cobra Ferrari wars - shame they used a replica for the 'new' footage of the Daytona, esp with the actual car being in the UK for most of the summer (and I got a ride in it  ;D *gloat*)

For all the other CA'ers who only get 5 channels on the TV.  BBC2 are showing two of these shows tonight (Thursday) from 11:20pm onwards, namely the Alex Zanardi interview & the DeLorean story.

The only problem being it clashes with the end of Fahrenheit 9/11 showing on C4. Dammit why did I not buy a DVD recorder with my new TV!! >:(
