Title: Technoparc Campsite Post by: MikeH on December 29, 2004, 04:38:35 pm Booked this one today, so is it any good? Grassy? Any facilities?
It was that or BSJ, and Techno was a lot closer to the main area from the looks of it. Don't mind a bit of a walk, used to it at Le Mans! :D Title: Re:Technoparc Campsite Post by: Bobblehat on December 29, 2004, 04:47:14 pm I was there 2003, its a big green field, had a tolet block, but some one had nicked the shower block. They just towed it away in the night!
We planted some mint, to go with our Pimms, so there should be plenty for yours ;D Mind you on my invoice it said that Technoparc was full! BJ for us again, we will wave to you as we pass by on the bus! Title: Re:Technoparc Campsite Post by: MikeH on December 29, 2004, 04:56:02 pm I booked from Just Tickets, any idea when I will get my tickets?
Title: Re:Technoparc Campsite Post by: smokie on December 29, 2004, 05:17:14 pm ACO letter said tickets will be issued from April to May. The agents may get theirs earlier or later. Sorry if that's not too helpful!
Title: Re:Technoparc Campsite Post by: MikeH on December 29, 2004, 05:26:02 pm That's fine, just wondering.
I'm just happy to get it booked! 52 quid does seem cheap... Title: Re:Technoparc Campsite Post by: Steve Pyro on December 29, 2004, 05:32:14 pm The ACO rate for a Technoparc ticket is 41 euros (ACO member) or 45 euros (normal). So roughly £36.
Do you get a General Admission ticket for your £52 from Just tickets? ......or a gold encrusted tent peg? ;) Title: Re:Technoparc Campsite Post by: MikeH on December 29, 2004, 05:39:06 pm Just a campsite ticket. I assume that 3 of us in a car is OK? Don't want two cars with 6 people to arrive there, and then they tell us only two of us can camp...
Title: Re:Technoparc Campsite Post by: Chris24 on December 29, 2004, 07:21:10 pm That's fine, just wondering. I'm just happy to get it booked! 52 quid does seem cheap... Mike, Where do you live ? I want to move there as money miust grow on trees round your way ! It must do if you think £52 is cheap for a camping pass ! You could have camped on Blue car park which is nearer for about £26. Title: Re:Technoparc Campsite Post by: MikeH on December 30, 2004, 12:42:57 am Well, BSJ and Technoparc were the only available ones... I thought it seemed cheap actually, 3 people for 50 quid...
Better than going on a cramped old coach like we have for the past two years, and that's bloody pricey! This works out a bit less, for camping ferry and ticket, and a lot more fun. And it was a lot cheaper than Page and Moy aswell. Title: Re:Technoparc Campsite Post by: gab on December 30, 2004, 06:48:47 am Hey Mike H, if your happy with what you paid then that`s all that matters. See you at LM.
Title: Re:Technoparc Campsite Post by: The Planman on December 30, 2004, 01:41:09 pm Ditto Gab - It's all very well for those that have some dark art in getting camping permits, booking early has not done us for the last seven years as we only ever need one camping permit. As with most things in life, the only guarentee you have is if you pay through the nose.
For those that say book them at LM 2003 for LM 2004 or book in April 2005 for Le Mans 2007, tried, and it doesn't work. Even got someone who speaks the lingo to beg. ACO are not interested if you only want one permit and four gen admin tickets. So if your happy at 50 quid, ship it in dude, you'll have a great time. Those of you now happy to let the rest of us know how you get cheap MB camping permits, let the forum speak..................... Planman Title: Re:Technoparc Campsite Post by: Rusty on December 30, 2004, 04:15:15 pm You'll be in good company Mike, we'll be on Techno this year having been bumped from Karting due to the infiltration of the nazi hospitality machine.
Don't worry if there is no shower block tho, we'll just tow one back from Karting. Hope your tent is fire resistent. Rusty Title: Re:Technoparc Campsite Post by: MikeH on December 30, 2004, 04:16:34 pm No it isn't...
Title: Re:Technoparc Campsite Post by: The Planman on December 30, 2004, 04:38:56 pm The Brethren
May I congratulate you? Haven't been on this forum for a while and seeing you here reminded me. Didn't get to LM04 but watched a bit on the telly. Seeing the airial shot of an Audi zooming by the large white letters 'BRETHREN' written on the track had me in fits. Well done dude ;D Planman Title: Re:Technoparc Campsite Post by: Rusty on December 30, 2004, 04:45:28 pm I don't know whooooooooo would have done that!
Hope your plans go better for this year man. See you at the champagne bar, we'll be tricky to spot as there are only 60 of us this year but come over and have a beer mate. Rusty Title: Re:Technoparc Campsite Post by: The Planman on December 30, 2004, 04:55:02 pm Cheers Rusty
Plans for LM05 are looking good to go. Only 3 cars this year for Team Crapuad, which is a bit better that the 'Billy No Mates Tour' Ikle Kieth did last year. He went on his own in a Lime Green Plymouth Cuda. Camped on Beausejour, if you didn't see him, you'd have heard the big V8 Drinking beer at Le Mans? Yes please :) Title: Re:Technoparc Campsite Post by: Rusty on December 30, 2004, 05:29:00 pm Saw the 'cuda floating around...sweet.
Rusty Title: Re:Technoparc Campsite Post by: Bobblehat on December 30, 2004, 06:35:35 pm Hey Planman say hi to Kieth, We were next door to him on BJ. What with Tom and his mirowave trying to blow things up on one side and the Cuda setting fire to the grass on the other, and us tring to get the Moke to wheelspin, larf, I nearly fell over drunk. (Oh. Yes. I did, a lot)
Oh I hope you are all bringing spare tyres for 2005! ;) Title: Re:Technoparc Campsite Post by: The Planman on December 31, 2004, 09:21:02 am Hi Bobblehat
Was out with Ikle Keith for couple of beers last night, as you do, the Cuda tyre issue was discussed. The snag being the spare takes up to much room in the boot, can't get to many Carrefour supplies in there. He did think about leaving the spare out, but thankfully changed his mind when reminded of his 90 mph blow out on the way down! He had snags on the way back as well, ran out of juice! Then the alternator packed up and he shagged the battery of juice, came back very happy though ;D Said all his hard work to put the car together for LM04 was well worth it. Happy LM05 !!! I can provide loose directions should you require.... Title: Re:Technoparc Campsite Post by: MikeH on January 11, 2005, 03:01:42 am Ooh yes please. I went on the Mulsanne in 2003, twas great, but I fell in a boggy part of a field... :D
The guys on the Tetre Rouge gate gave me a very funny look! :D |
