Rumours of betting syndicates involved? :o I'm sure DC has never had anything to do with the championship or be high enough up in the pecking order to even get on the radar screen of betting syndicates, unless they were looking at the number of retirements he has in one season ;) Title: Re:Drivers and Planes Post by: Bobblehat on October 25, 2004, 04:05:19 pm Didn't one of the Bentley Boys lose thier lives trying to break thier own London to Cape Town records, I cant rember wich one?

Paul Morgan, (Ilmor Engines) who died when he crashed his Hawker Sea Fury. If you ever saw the pictures then he was damn unlucky as it flipped over on landing with very little damage apart from crushing the canopy where he was sat ! Title: Re:Drivers and Planes Post by: Fax on October 27, 2004, 04:40:26 pm I also remember Patrick Depailler smashing his legs up hang gliding.
