Title: French Grand Prix axed?
Post by: Kpy on October 01, 2004, 04:50:58 pm
Looks like it may not just be The British race that's had the Bernie Boot http://www.pitpass.com/fes_php/pitpass_news_item.php?fes_art_id=22500

But who cares?

Its really quite remarkable...
The first GP ever held was in France and the first World Championship F1 was ever held was in England, most of the teams are based in the UK but Bernie and his boys are ready to abandon both nations for races for third world countries where he can get a pile of money.  Fricking incredible!

Rumours.

Perhaps, but not according to the Telegraph, Friday October 1st:
The FIA, the world governing body, confirmed to the BRDC last night that the British GP would not be on the provisional list submitted to the World Council on Oct 13. Neither will the French Grand Prix, which was also culled to comply with an FIA ruling, limiting the 2005 calendar to 17 races.
