Title: Eurotunnel for next year Post by: carsarecool on August 30, 2004, 02:12:57 pm We're not sure which day we can travel to Le Mans next year, so..
anyone know if you can just turn up at the Tunnel terminal and pay & go on the next train? Appreciate any info if you have any. Title: Re:Eurotunnel for next year Post by: jpchenet on August 31, 2004, 10:18:36 am I think you can just turn up and pay but:
1. They will charge you full fare! 2. You may have to wait a while until they have space on a train. Even if you can only book a week in advance you will get a far better deal!! I'd also add that whilst going over the volume is spread over a few days. On the way back, most of it is Sunday night so you might have to wait a little longer if you haven't booked. And they are better than the corpse rocket. Title: Re:Eurotunnel for next year Post by: ian murat on September 13, 2004, 10:48:58 pm i've always found that you can get back anytime but going you are usually restricted to the train your booked on
we were booked on the 4.30pm on the monday got to the terminal at 1.30 pm and got on the first train available 2.00 pm back to england have just done been on the fast cat poole/c'bourg and may do this route next year it appears you either spend a few more hours driving or a similar time sailing - both terminals are equi-distant from home week days are likely to have less pukeing kids stinking the boat out |
